Red Hill Hillmen Banners - Built for the Hill

There's something special about a milestone run out at Red Hill, and FootyBanners.com makes sure every great occasion is marked with a custom banner worthy of the Hillmen. Celebrate your player with a banner as memorable as the moment itself.

Simple to Order

We offer Single Player, Two Player, Team, and Grand Final banner options. Simply provide the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Matt Smith, #9, 100 Games. Made with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner will hold up through a blustery Peninsula afternoon without missing a beat.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Hillmen share the same milestone, a Two Player Banner is the ideal way to celebrate them both. Provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the shared milestone for a quality keepsake that honours them side by side.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Celebrate 3 to 6 players together on a Team Banner and create a moment the whole club can share. A top-line message like "Up the Hillmen!" perfectly captures the spirit of the team before they run through.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks that stand the test of time. Display your Hillmen banner with pride in the clubrooms, the garage, or the games room.

Grand Final Banners

Make the Red Hill Hillmen grand final one to remember with a 4.5m or 5.5m banner featuring fully customised top and bottom text. Contact us and our team will help you design something the whole club will love.

About Red Hill Football Netball Club

Origins and Founding

Red Hill Football Netball Club was founded in 1929, with the inaugural meeting held on Tuesday 9 February 1929 at the Mechanics Institute Hall. The meeting was chaired by Mr George Heggens, and the first coach Alf Hunt took the club to a finals berth in its very first season. Known as the Hillmen, Red Hill competes in the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League (MPNFL) and fields three men's teams, a women's team, and five netball teams. The club is based at Red Hill Recreation Reserve on the Mornington Peninsula.

Club History

Red Hill's early history featured strong performances under Fred Vollk in the 1930s, including a grand final appearance in 1935. After a period of difficulty, the club disbanded around 1950 before re-entering competition through junior sides in 1965 and returning to senior football in 1968. The 1984 season yielded the club's first ever premiership when the reserves, coached by Wayne Spence, took the flag. The first senior premiership came in 1990 when Tim Luscombe's team defeated Karingal, earning promotion to Premier Division. The Hillmen's second Division 2 premiership came in 2019 when Jamie Mollo coached the team to victory over Karingal again. The Under 18/19s have also claimed multiple premierships, including flags in 2017 and 2019. A women's team joined the club in 2017, and in 2023 two Hillwomen - Jemma Lewis and Kristine Borderder - were named in the league's Team of the Year. Player Alex Lee was drafted to Port Adelaide, reflecting the club's capacity to develop talent for higher levels despite coming from a small catchment area.

Home Ground

The Hillmen play at Red Hill Recreation Reserve, located in the heart of the Red Hill township on the Mornington Peninsula. The ground features two ovals with permanent lights, new netball courts, electronic scoreboards, and upgraded facilities including viewing sheds, coaches' boxes, and change rooms. The club live streams its senior games from the ground and continues to upgrade facilities to support the growing number of teams competing each season.

Community and Programs

Red Hill FNC operates as a not-for-profit community association, relying on sponsorships, community fundraising, and volunteers to sustain its programs. The club fields three men's football teams, a women's football team, and five netball teams. The club has pioneered a Reconciliation Round and added a Pride Round in 2022 as part of its commitment to diversity and inclusion. It won the Best Conducted Club award in 2023 for both its men's and women's programs. The club draws players and supporters from Red Hill township and surrounding communities including Flinders, Main Ridge, Shoreham, Merricks, Arthurs Seat, Somers, and Balnarring.

Red Hill

Red Hill is a small township on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, taking its name from the distinctive red tinge of the soil in the area - the same nutrient-rich soil that makes the region one of Victoria's premier wine and food districts. With a population of fewer than 4,000 people, Red Hill is surrounded by rolling hills, forests, and some of Victoria's best coastal scenery and surf breaks. It is known for the Red Hill Market, boutique wineries, craft breweries, and farm-gate produce, and draws visitors from Melbourne as a popular weekend and holiday destination throughout the year.

The Hillmen compete in the MPNFL and call Red Hill Recreation Reserve home. Visit the club at redhillfnc.com.au, follow them on Facebook, or on Instagram.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
