About Secret Harbour Dockers Football and Netball Club
Origins and Founding
The Secret Harbour Dockers Football and Netball Club (SHDFNC) was founded in 2002 and incorporated in 2004, established to serve the rapidly growing coastal suburb of Secret Harbour on Perth's southern fringe. From its origins as a small community club, the SHDFNC has grown into one of the largest and most inclusive sporting organisations in the Peel region. The club takes its name and heritage from a proud partnership with the Fremantle Dockers AFL club, a relationship that has helped shape the Dockers' identity and culture since the club's early years.
Club History
The Secret Harbour Dockers initially competed in the Perth Football League (PFL), joining in 2011, before transitioning to the Peel Football and Netball League. The club's most significant achievement in the Perth Football League era was winning the 2017 PFL premiership. The club has fielded senior men's and women's football sides as well as multiple grades of netball, growing steadily in line with the expansion of the Secret Harbour community. The SHDFNC plays at Rhonda Scarrott Park in Golden Bay, named in honour of a longstanding community contributor.

Home Ground
Rhonda Scarrott Park in Golden Bay serves as the club's home ground. The oval is located within the developing residential precinct south of Secret Harbour itself and supports the full range of the club's football and netball programs. The ground's facilities are used year-round for training, junior programs, and community events, reflecting the club's role as a hub for active participation across the region.

Community and Programs
The SHDFNC is described as one of the fastest-growing and most inclusive community sporting clubs in the Peel region. It fields teams across junior and senior football for both men and women, alongside multiple grades of netball. The club is a proud Fremantle Dockers Partner Club, an alliance that provides junior development pathways and helps connect the local community with elite football. The club also hosts Auskick programs, bringing the sport to the youngest members of the Secret Harbour community.

Secret Harbour
Secret Harbour is an outer southern suburb of the metropolitan area of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Rockingham on the Indian Ocean coast at Warnbro Sound, approximately 56 kilometres south of the Perth CBD. The suburb was established in 1984 and had a recorded population of 12,474 at the 2021 census. Despite its evocative name, Secret Harbour has no harbour - the name derives from a failed marina development proposal. The area features the well-regarded Secret Harbour Golf Course, an 18-hole links course designed by Graham Marsh, and a surf lifesaving club on the oceanfront.
