South Whyalla Demons Banners - Celebrate Every Demons Milestone

Whether it's a player hitting 100 games or the Demons making a finals push in Whyalla, FootyBanners.com delivers custom footy banners that do justice to the moment. Our banners are made for supporters who know what it means to bleed Demons red.

Simple to Order

Choose from a Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final Banner to suit the occasion. For a single player milestone, simply provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and achievement - for example, Dave Richards, #5, 150 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper that holds up under even the most blazing South Australian sun.

Two Players, One Banner

Two Demons reaching the same milestone on the same match day? Our Two Player Banner celebrates them both on a single banner. Both players must share the same milestone, and you'll need each player's name and guernsey number to get started. A great way to make a memorable day even bigger.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Rally the whole club with a Team Banner featuring 3 to 6 players. Add a top-line message like "Demons - Whyalla Premiers" and make the celebrations official. Perfect for finals appearances, milestone rounds, or any occasion where the whole squad deserves recognition.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Display them in the clubrooms, your garage, or your games room as a lasting tribute to what it means to pull on the Demons jumper.

Grand Final Banners

When the South Whyalla Demons run out for the biggest game of the season, the banner needs to match the occasion. Grand Final Banners are available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with fully customised top and bottom text. Contact us for design advice and we'll help you create something special.

About South Whyalla Demons Football Club

Origins and Founding

The South Whyalla Football Club was established in 1919 in the steel city of Whyalla on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula. Known as the Demons, the club is one of the founding institutions of football in Whyalla, joining the Whyalla Football League (WFL) in 1939 and helping to establish it as the premier competition on the Eyre Peninsula. The Demons wear navy and red and have built a passionate supporter base that has grown with the city across more than a century of competition.

Club History

South Whyalla is one of the most successful clubs in Whyalla Football League history, having won 14 WFL premierships. Their titles span from 1927 and 1928 (before the WFL was formally established) through to 1931, 1933, 1944, 1946, 1949, 1952, 1962, 1968, 1981, 1984, 1993, and 1994. The Demons were the dominant force in Whyalla football for much of the post-war era, winning multiple flags in the 1940s and early 1950s before claiming back-to-back titles again in 1993 and 1994. The club competes at the WFL level against clubs including Central Whyalla, West Whyalla, Weeroona Bay, and Roopena.

Home Ground

The Demons play their home games at their ground on Beach Road in Whyalla South, a venue that has been closely tied to the club's identity since the early decades of Whyalla football. The ground provides facilities for both training and competition, with the beach and the Spencer Gulf providing a distinctive backdrop to South Whyalla's home matches.

Community and Programs

The South Whyalla Football Club is a cornerstone institution of the Whyalla South community. The club runs both senior and junior football programs, developing local talent from the southern suburbs of Whyalla. The Demons are active in school outreach and community events, maintaining strong ties with families from across the Whyalla South area.

Whyalla

Whyalla is an industrial city on the east coast of South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, situated approximately 390 kilometres north-west of Adelaide on the shores of Spencer Gulf. With a population of around 21,000, it is the third-largest city in South Australia and is known for its steelmaking industry, its maritime heritage, and the Whyalla Conservation Park. The city is home to multiple Australian rules football clubs competing in the historic Whyalla Football League.

The Demons compete in the Whyalla Football League and call their Beach Road ground, Whyalla South, home. Follow the Demons on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
