St George Little Athletics Banners - Celebrate Every Personal Best

From first ribbons to record-breaking performances, FootyBanners.com is proud to create custom banners for St George Little Athletics athletes and their families. Whether it's a milestone competition, an age championship, or a special achievement, a personalised banner makes the moment unforgettable.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner formats. To personalise your banner, simply provide the athlete's name, surname, competition number, and milestone - for example, Ella Roberts, #22, 100 Competitions. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner will hold up through any Sydney summer carnival.

Two Players, One Banner

Celebrating two St George Little Athletics stars at the same event? Our Two Player banner lets you honour both athletes on a single banner. Just supply both names, their numbers, and the milestone they're reaching - a wonderful keepsake for any proud family.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Recognise a group of 3 to 6 athletes with our Team Banner option. Your top-line message could read "St George Little Athletics - Our Champions" and make for an incredible photo at the end of the season. Perfect for annual presentation nights and club award ceremonies.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks built to last for years. Hang them in the clubrooms, at home, or in a bedroom - a lasting tribute to every milestone achieved at St George Little Athletics.

Grand Final Banners

Make a statement at your biggest events with a Grand Final banner measuring 4.5m or 5.5m, fully customised with your top and bottom text. Contact us for design assistance to help St George Little Athletics Centre look its best on the big day.

About St George Little Athletics Centre

Origins and Founding

St George Little Athletics Centre was founded at a public meeting held at Kogarah Council Chambers in December 1971, chaired by Kogarah Mayor Ald Frank Baker. A steering committee was elected that evening, with David Dickinson as chairman, Fred Scott as secretary, and Jean Thornthwaite as treasurer. Two registration days at Bell Park, South Hurstville in January 1972 attracted 98 registrations, and the first competition was held at Carss Park in early 1972. According to the club's own history, despite the challenging conditions, St George athletes won two gold medals, two silver medals, and two bronze medals at that first State Championships, along with a first place in the 4x100m relay.

Club History

After competing at Carss Park in 1972, the centre moved to Evatt Park at Lugarno for the 1972-73 season, where it hosted Sunday afternoon competitions for several years. A brief move to Jubilee Oval in 1978-79 was followed by a permanent shift to Olds Park, Penshurst, in 1979/80, which has been the club's home ever since. The centre is a dual affiliate of Little Athletics NSW (LANSW) and Athletics NSW (ANSW), meaning athletes can compete in all LANSW and ANSW carnivals without needing to join a second club. The program advances athletes from local weekly competitions through to State and National titles for older age groups.

Home Ground

The club competes at Olds Park, Forest Road, Penshurst, a facility maintained to a high standard by Georges River Council. The venue features a 400m track, a 110m track, four rubber-surfaced long and triple jump runways, a javelin runup, three shot put rings, three discus rings, four high jump stations, and a dedicated 50m Tiny Tot track. Track events use electronic starting and timing systems, and the grounds are among the premier athletics facilities in Sydney's south.

Programs and Community

The centre welcomes children and youths aged 4 to 16, with Tiny Tots (aged 4-5) meeting on Wednesday evenings and older age groups competing on Friday evenings from mid-September to mid-March each year. The program emphasises self-improvement over winning, with athletes able to track their results online each week. Representatives from St George LAC have gone on to compete at Inter-club Championships, State, and National levels across both Little Athletics and senior athletics competitions.

Penshurst and the St George Area

Penshurst is a residential suburb in the St George region of Sydney, located 16 kilometres south of the Sydney CBD within the Georges River Council local government area. The suburb recorded a population of 12,592 at the 2021 census, and the broader Georges River Council area had over 152,000 residents, noted for its significant cultural diversity with more than half of residents born overseas. The St George area is a well-established part of southern Sydney with strong community sporting traditions.

St George Little Athletics Centre competes under Little Athletics NSW and calls Olds Park, Penshurst home.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
