Simple to Order

Our Single Player Banner is perfect for individual milestones - just provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone (for example, Jake Turner, #7, 100 Games). Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner will hold up through whatever a crisp South Australian afternoon can throw at it. Order online in minutes and we handle the rest.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Eagles are sharing the spotlight on the same game day, our Two Player Banner is the perfect solution. Simply provide both players' names, guernsey numbers, and the milestone being celebrated, and we'll produce a quality banner that honours them both on the one design.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Our Team Banner option fits 3 to 6 players, ideal when a whole group of Eagles are reaching milestones together. Customise the top line with a message like "Eagles - Legends of The Nest" to give it that extra personal touch. A great keepsake for players and a brilliant addition to any celebration on game day.

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks - built to last for years on display. Whether it ends up in the clubrooms, a garage or a dedicated games room, an Eagles keepsake banner is a proud reminder of a milestone well earned.

About Tailem Bend Eagles Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Tailem Bend Eagles Football Club entered the River Murray Football League (RMFL) in 1946, drawing together the community's football history from two earlier clubs - the Tailem Bend Centrals and the Tailem Bend Warriors, the latter of whom had competed in the Murray Districts Football Association from 1934 before folding in 1945. The Eagles wasted no time, winning their first RMFL premiership in 1947 in just their second season.

Club History

The Eagles have claimed 14 RMFL senior premierships, making them one of the competition's most decorated clubs. Their title years are 1947, 1954, 1960, 1962, 1965, 1970, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1992, 1995, 1996, 1997, and 2000, per RMFL records. The 1970s brought three consecutive flags, while the 1990s saw five premierships in nine years.

Bohdan Cybulka is the club's most celebrated player, winning the Mail Medal (best and fairest) seven times for Tailem Bend - in 1965, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1976. The RMFL's Grand Final best-on-ground award has since been renamed the Bohdan Cybulka Medal in his honour. Mervyn Kartinyeri also won the award three times for the Eagles (1997, 2004, 2005), with Roger Wilson (1992), Noel Hartman (1989), Mike Hunt (1991) and Will McMurray (2020) adding to the club's individual honours. The Eagles have also won the Lyall Parker Club Championship - for most points across all grades - in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 2021.

Home Ground

The Eagles play their home games at Jaensch Park in Tailem Bend, a ground that has hosted RMFL football since the club's formation in 1946. Jaensch Park sits within the town centre and serves as a focal point for community gathering on match days throughout the RMFL season, drawing supporters from Tailem Bend and the surrounding Murraylands region.

Community and Programs

The Tailem Bend Football Club is a genuine community hub where people connect across generations. The club supports junior development across all RMFL grades, and women's football has grown as a significant part of the program - the 2026 ANZAC Day Medal for the women's competition was awarded to Matilda Hughes. The club places strong value on volunteers and families, reflecting the character of the broader Tailem Bend community.

Tailem Bend

Tailem Bend is a rural town in South Australia's Murraylands, approximately 85 kilometres south-east of Adelaide on the lower River Murray. The town's name derives from the Ngarrindjeri word "thelim", meaning "bend", and was proclaimed in 1887 after growing around a railway camp established in 1884. With a population of around 1,412 (2021 census), Tailem Bend is administered by the Coorong District Council. The Bend Motorsport Park, which opened for Supercars Championship racing in 2018, lies 5 kilometres south-east of town and has brought new economic activity to the region. The town is also the birthplace of David Unaipon, the Ngarrindjeri inventor and author who features on the Australian $50 note.

The Eagles compete in the River Murray Football League and call Jaensch Park home. Visit the club website for more, follow on Facebook, and follow on Instagram for news and match day updates.

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
