Unley Jets Banners - Fly High with Custom Footy Banners
When an Unley Jets player reaches a milestone worth celebrating, FootyBanners.com makes it simple to create a custom banner that captures the moment. We deliver quality footy banners to Jets fans across Adelaide and South Australia.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banners. For a Single Player banner, simply provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and the milestone being celebrated. All banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper, built to last through a sweltering South Australian afternoon.
Two Players, One Banner
Two Jets hitting the same milestone at the same time? Our Two Player banner lets you honour them both on one banner. Just provide both names and guernsey numbers for a quality banner that marks the occasion for both players.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Our Team Banner accommodates 3 to 6 players celebrating together. Try a top-line message like "Jets in Flight!" and add a closing tagline that captures the spirit of Unley football. Perfect for team milestones and end-of-season celebrations.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Whether they go in the clubrooms, a garage, or a games room, they're a great way to remember great seasons with the Jets.
Grand Final Banners
Available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, Grand Final Banners can be fully customised with your own top and bottom text. Contact us for design advice and make the Unley Jets Football Club's biggest day truly memorable.
About Unley Jets
Origins and Founding
The Unley Football Club, known as the Jets, was founded in 1970 by teachers and students from Unley High School. The club initially competed as the "Unley High Old Scholars" before adopting the simpler "Unley Football Club" name in the early 1980s. The Jets nickname was embraced in 1990, and the club has played as the Unley Mercedes Jets (UMJ) since 2012 following a naming rights partnership. Over 1,500 players have pulled on the seniors guernsey in the club's 50-plus year history, and the games record is held by David Stanes with 338 appearances.
Club History
The Jets compete in the Sturt zone of the South Australian Amateur Football League (SAAFL). A Grade premierships were won in 1993, 1996, and 2012, along with several B and C Grade flags across the club's history. The 2012 season was the club's most successful, with all three UMJ teams winning premierships on the same day. The club fielded its first junior teams in 2002, and by 2011 had become the largest club by membership in the Sturt zone, fielding teams in every Metro South age division from AusKick to Under 16. The first female premiership followed in 2017 with the Under 14 girls side taking home the flag.
Home Ground
The Jets play at Kingswood Reserve Oval, where the clubrooms were constructed in 1975. The facility was significantly renovated in 2021, including a balcony extension, to meet the demands of the club's growing membership and community programs. Kingswood Reserve sits on the boundary between Unley and Kingswood in Adelaide's inner south and hosts senior, junior, and women's fixtures throughout the season.
Community and Programs
In 2026, the Jets field three senior men's teams as well as a full junior program. The club has a strong culture of past players and life member support, with records of premiership teams and 150-game-plus players on display at the clubrooms. The Jets value sustainability, community connection, and achievement as core pillars - reflected in their guiding mission to sustainably grow their community through the love of football.
Unley
Unley is an affluent inner suburb of Adelaide, located approximately 2 kilometres south of the CBD in the City of Unley. With a population of 3,997 at the 2021 census, it is one of Adelaide's most densely settled inner suburbs. Known for its heritage-listed streetscapes, tree-lined avenues, and proximity to King William Road's cafe and boutique precinct, Unley attracts a mix of professionals, families, and long-term residents who form the natural supporter base for the Jets.
The Jets compete in the South Australian Amateur Football League and call Kingswood Reserve Oval home. Visit the club website, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match-day updates.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
