Wallaroo Bulldogs Banners - Celebrating Yorke Peninsula Footy
Whether it's a milestone game or grand final glory, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners made for the Wallaroo Bulldogs. Celebrate your player or your team with a banner that does justice to the occasion.
Simple to Order
We offer Single Player, Two Player, Team, and Grand Final banner options. To personalise your order, provide the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Nick Stone, #3, 150 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner is built to handle a blazing SA afternoon on the Yorke Peninsula with ease.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Bulldogs reach the same milestone, a Two Player Banner is the perfect way to celebrate them both. Provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the shared milestone for a quality keepsake they will both be proud of.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Feature 3 to 6 players on a Team Banner and create a run-through moment the whole club will be talking about. A top-line message like "Go Bulldogs!" captures the pride and passion of one of the Yorke Peninsula's great clubs.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks built to last for years. A Wallaroo Bulldogs keepsake banner is a wonderful addition to the clubrooms, the garage, or the family games room.
Grand Final Banners
Make grand final day at Wallaroo one to remember with a 4.5m or 5.5m banner featuring fully customised top and bottom text for the Wallaroo Bulldogs. Contact us and our team will help you design something the whole town will talk about.
About Wallaroo Bulldogs
Origins and Founding
The Wallaroo Football Club was founded on 17 June 1867 during a meeting at the Globe Inn - now known as the Weeroona Hotel - making it one of the oldest Australian rules football clubs in South Australia and in the country. About a dozen founding members paid their subscriptions and organised the club's first match at a ground on the western edge of town. The first recorded official game against neighbouring Moonta was played in 1874. In the late 1960s the club adopted the nickname "Bulldogs", replacing an earlier identity as the Seagulls.
Club History
The Wallaroo Football Club has competed in the Yorke Peninsula Football League (YPFL) and its predecessor competitions for well over a century. The YPFL traces its roots to the Yorke Peninsula Football Association, formed in 1888, before evolving through a series of regional amalgamations and being renamed the Yorke Valley Football League until 1996. Wallaroo has claimed multiple A Grade premierships across the decades, winning flags in 1976, 1983, 1990, 1992, 1996, 1997, 1998, and 2000, the last-named victory coming against Kadina. The club celebrated 150 years of football in 2017 and remains one of the league's foundation clubs.
Home Ground
The Bulldogs play their home games at Wallaroo Oval, situated in the heart of Wallaroo on South Australia's Yorke Peninsula. The ground is part of a community sporting precinct that serves multiple local sports and has been the club's home base throughout most of its long history. The oval hosts both senior and junior competitions across the YPFL season.
Community and Programs
The Wallaroo Football Club is closely linked with the Wallaroo Netball Club, with both clubs sharing facilities and members and operating under a cooperative structure typical of country South Australian sporting clubs. The club runs junior development pathways to encourage participation from a young age and hosts community events that bring together players, families, and supporters across the Copper Triangle region. The club also fields a Senior Colts side that competes in the YPFL youth competition.
Wallaroo
Wallaroo is a port town situated on the western coast of the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, approximately 160 kilometres northwest of Adelaide. It is one of three towns that make up the Copper Triangle - alongside Kadina and Moonta - a region historically known for copper mining and strong ties to Cornish immigrant communities, earning the area the nickname "Little Cornwall". The town had a population of 3,988 at the 2016 census. Wallaroo retains its strong maritime heritage and serves as a hub for the surrounding agricultural district.
The Wallaroo Bulldogs compete in the Yorke Peninsula Football League and call Wallaroo Oval home. For more information visit the club's official website, or follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
