Whittlesea Eagles Banners - Celebrate Every Eagles Milestone

Whether it's a milestone game, a landmark birthday, or a moment worth remembering, FootyBanners.com makes it easy to mark the occasion in style. Our custom-made banners for the Eagles are built to impress on any game day - whatever the weather.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options. Just provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Sam Turner, #21, 100 Games. Every banner is printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty coated paper that's fully weatherproof, so it can handle a cold and wet Melbourne winter without missing a beat.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Eagles reach the same milestone together, our Two Player banner is the perfect way to celebrate. Simply provide both players' names and guernsey numbers, and we'll create a quality banner worthy of the shared occasion.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Celebrating 3 to 6 players at once? The Team Banner option has you covered. Customise the top line with something like "Go Eagles!" and bring the whole squad together in one impressive run-through banner. A great way to fire up the club on game day.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks that last for years. Whether displayed in the clubrooms, the garage, or the games room, an Eagles keepsake banner is a lasting tribute to a special moment.

Grand Final Banners

Available in 4.5m and 5.5m widths, our Grand Final banners can be fully customised with your chosen top and bottom text. If you need help with wording or design ideas for your Whittlesea Football & Netball Club Grand Final banner, don't hesitate to get in touch - we're happy to help.

About Whittlesea Eagles

Origins and Founding

The Whittlesea Football Club was established in 1896, making it one of the oldest surviving football clubs in Victoria's outer north. The club entered organised competition in 1904 as a founding member of the Whittlesea District Football Association, and two years later joined the Bourke-Evelyn Football League, where it claimed its first premiership in 1907. Over the following decades Whittlesea competed across several leagues - the Panton Hill and District Football League from 1933, back to the Diamond Valley Football League in 1934, and again from 1946. In 1987 the club relocated to the Riddell District Football League and briefly rebranded as the Northern Eagles Football Club before returning to its original name in 1992 when it joined the Diamond Valley Football League (now the Northern Football Netball League).

Club History

The Eagles have accumulated 17 premierships across their long history, including flags in 1907, 1923, 1924, 1925, 1932, 1954, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1973, 1974, 1988, 2010, 2013, 2015, and 2019. Their four NFNL Division Two premierships in 2010, 2013, 2015, and 2019 were all contested at Preston City Oval. The 2019 grand final saw Whittlesea defeat Banyule 10.14 (74) to 6.11 (47). In 2020 the club launched its first Senior Women's team, built on more than a decade of junior girls development that helped produce Chloe Molloy, who has gone on to a distinguished AFLW career with Collingwood. The club also fields a Superules (over-35s) team that entered the AFL Masters League in 2019.

Home Ground

The Eagles play their senior and reserve football at the Whittlesea Showgrounds on Laurel Street, Whittlesea, a ground that has hosted the club for generations. Junior teams also use Walker Reserve. The Showgrounds precinct is located in the heart of the Whittlesea township and serves as a central hub for community sport in the area.

Community and Programs

Whittlesea Football Netball Club fields five senior football teams - Seniors, Reserves, Under 19s, Women's, and Superules - alongside competitive netball teams. The junior football program at Walker Reserve provides a pathway for young players from the surrounding suburbs into senior ranks. The club's successful development of Chloe Molloy through its junior girls program is a testament to the strength of its youth pathways. The WFNC also runs an Auskick centre, introducing children across the Whittlesea area to Australian rules football from a young age.

Whittlesea

Whittlesea is a historic township located 40 kilometres north-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, within the City of Whittlesea local government area. The town recorded a population of 6,117 at the 2021 census and sits at the edge of Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north, surrounded by farmland and state forest. The area has strong colonial-era roots - the local post office opened in 1853 and the railway line reached Whittlesea in 1889. The Eagles are a cornerstone of local life in the town, providing community, competition, and connection across generations of Whittlesea families.

The Eagles compete in the Northern Football Netball League and call the Whittlesea Showgrounds home. Visit the club website for news, fixtures, and registrations, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for match day updates and club news.

  • Footy Banner Information

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
