Bungendore Tigers banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, ready for whatever country NSW weather throws at game day.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Tigers players reach the same milestone on the same day, our Two Player banner is the perfect way to honour them both. Provide each player's name, guernsey number, and the milestone they're reaching for a quality keepsake they'll both be proud to display.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Our Team Banner option caters for 3 to 6 players and is perfect for end-of-season tributes or group milestones. A top-line message like "Bungendore Tigers - Premiers" gives the banner a celebratory feel the whole club will love. Go the Tigers!

About Bungendore Tigers JFC

Origins and Founding

The Bungendore Tigers are a rugby league club serving the town of Bungendore and its surrounding communities in southern New South Wales. The senior club was first established in 1952 and has competed in the George Tooke Shield, the second-division competition of the Canberra Region Rugby League (CRRL), across almost all decades since. In 1995, the Bungendore Junior Tigers were founded to provide structured pathways for young players from Under 5s to Under 18s, rounding out a full community club that covers every stage of a rugby league career.

Club History

Bungendore is the most decorated club in George Tooke Shield history, having claimed 10 premierships - more than any other club in the competition. Their titles came in 1966, 1974, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2008, 2011, 2015, 2024, and 2025, a record that reflects consistent excellence across more than six decades. The Tigers' 2024 Grand Final win, a 30-10 victory over the Harden-Murrumburrah Hawks at Mick Sherd Oval, was backed up in 2025 with an 18-16 thriller against the same opponents at the same ground, making back-to-back premierships in the George Tooke Shield. Throughout the CRRL's history, Bungendore have also been competitive in the broader Canberra Region Rugby League, appearing in grand finals across multiple grades.

Home Ground

The Tigers call Mick Sherd Oval in Bungendore their home ground, a venue the club has used since 1952. The oval hosted the 2015, 2020, 2022, 2024, and 2025 George Tooke Shield Grand Finals, cementing its place as one of the most significant grounds in CRRL regional rugby league. The ground sits near the centre of Bungendore, making it a focal point for community sport in the town.

Community and Programs

The Bungendore Tigers run a unified junior and senior program that caters to both male and female players. The junior arm - formally the Bungendore Junior Rugby League Football Club (ABN 64 068 546 152, Incorporation No. INC9879664) - welcomes players from Under 5s through to Under 18s, with the 2025 season marking 30 years of the junior club. The senior club (ABN 59 825 113 470) competes at open-grade level and supports coaches and assistants through NRL-accredited training, with course reimbursements provided to approved volunteers. The club also fields a LeagueTag program that has been active in the region since 2013, broadening participation for players of all ages.

Bungendore

Bungendore is a rural town located 38 kilometres east of Canberra in the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council area of New South Wales. With a population of 4,745 at the 2021 census, it sits at an elevation of 700 metres on the Southern Tablelands and is known for its heritage streetscape, artisan businesses, and strong community identity. The town sits within the federal division of Eden-Monaro and the state electorate of Monaro, making it part of a proud regional corridor that stretches south from Canberra toward Cooma.

The Tigers compete in the George Tooke Shield (CRRL Second Division) and call Mick Sherd Oval, Bungendore home. Visit the club website for more information, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
