About Caloundra Panthers Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Caloundra Football Club, known as the Panthers, was founded in 1968 after a group of local rugby players had no competition to join. They travelled to Woombye and helped form the Sunshine Coast competition, with the Panthers entering senior football from the early 1970s. The club fields teams from junior age groups through to senior men's and women's competition, competing in the AFL Sunshine Coast competition in Queensland. The Panthers' motto - Passion, Pride, Respect - reflects the club's community-driven culture.
Club History
Since their founding, the Panthers have accumulated a strong premiership record. The senior men's program has won four A Grade/Division 1 premierships - in 1973, 2023, 2024, and 2025 - while the women's program has been even more prolific, claiming premierships in 1983, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2003, and 2004, with Grand Final victories across 10 seasons. In 1976 the Panthers relocated to North Street, which remains their home ground. The club has achieved Bronze and Silver Quality Club status through AFL Queensland's club development programs, reflecting strong off-field governance alongside on-field success.
Home Ground
The Panthers play at their home ground on North Street in Caloundra. The club has been based at this location since 1976 and has developed the precinct into a fully equipped community football facility. The ground hosts both junior and senior training sessions as well as home game days throughout the AFL Sunshine Coast season.
Community and Programs
Caloundra Football Club is a community club offering football for girls, boys, women, and men. Junior pathways feed directly into senior teams, and the club maintains a deliberate focus on developing young players through the ranks. The Michael Olm Club Spirit Award is presented annually in honour of a former player who represented the Sunshine Coast and Queensland before tragically passing away in December 1993 at age 18, following a battle with leukaemia. The award recognises individuals who exemplify tireless effort and sportsmanship, keeping his memory alive in the club's culture.
Caloundra
Caloundra is a coastal town in the Sunshine Coast Region of Queensland, located approximately 90 kilometres north of Brisbane's CBD. The town recorded a population of 96,305 at the 2021 Census and is known for its beaches, including King's Beach, as well as its surf and holiday destination character. Caloundra sits at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast and is the commercial and community hub for the area's growing population.

Footy Banner Information
Material: All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using permanent inks which will not run, even if they get wet. They are fully recyclable.
How to Use: We recommend taping broomsticks or plastic pipe to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it. If you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through. There are instructions and images for how to cut these in the FAQ section below.
On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon! This is why we do not pre-cut them, and also so you can get photographs with your intact banner when it looks at it's best.
Tip: Some players choose to only cut one weak spot in their banner so it can be saved and displayed later by taping it back together on the back.Pro Tip: Cut the weak spot to one side of the mascot or team logo so it stays intact as well!
Return and Refund Policy
As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.
Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
