Two Players, One Banner

Celebrate two standout players side by side on a single banner. Whether it is co-captains, a dynamic duo, or two best mates who have given everything for the Bears all season, a two-player banner is a brilliant way to recognise what they have achieved together.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Bring the whole squad together on one banner. Great for end-of-season presentations, milestone celebrations, or any time you want to honour the group as a whole. Every player gets their moment and a photo they will treasure.

Wall Keepsake Banners

A wall keepsake banner is a lasting tribute to a brilliant season or a special moment in the club's story. Hang it in the clubrooms, gift it to a retiring legend, or display it at home as a permanent reminder of great times in the Bears jumper.

Grand Final Banners

When the Kenmore Bears are in the grand final, the day deserves to be marked properly. Our grand final banners are built for the biggest occasion of the season and help every player feel the significance of running out for the ultimate game.

About Kenmore Bears Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Kenmore Australian Football Club, known as the Bears, was founded in 1997 as a senior club growing out of the well-established Kenmore Junior AFL program in Brisbane's western suburbs. The junior club had been running for a number of years before the decision was made to establish a senior side, giving players who had progressed through the junior ranks a pathway to continue their football careers within their local community. The club is based in the Kenmore area of Brisbane, competing in the Queensland Football Association (QFA) competition that services the greater Brisbane region and surrounds. The Bears' establishment reflected the growth of Australian rules football in Queensland during the 1990s, when the sport was expanding rapidly following the Gold Coast Suns' AFL entry and Queensland's increasing participation at all levels of the game.

Club History

Since their founding in 1997, the Kenmore Bears have established themselves as one of the more successful clubs in the Queensland Football Association competition. The Bears have claimed 5 QFA premierships, winning flags in 2006, 2008, 2011, 2018, and 2020. The 2006 and 2008 premierships in the club's early years established Kenmore as a serious force in Brisbane amateur football, and the 2011, 2018, and 2020 titles confirmed their consistent capacity to compete at the highest level of the QFA competition. The club has continued to develop talent from its junior base through to the senior ranks, maintaining a strong connection between the Bears' junior and senior programs throughout their history.

Home Ground

The Kenmore Bears play their home matches at Main Oval in Chelmer, a suburb adjacent to Kenmore on Brisbane's western fringe. Main Oval is a well-appointed community ground serving multiple sporting codes throughout the year, providing the Bears with a centrally located home base that is accessible to supporters from across Brisbane's western suburbs. The ground's location in Chelmer places it within the broader Kenmore-Chelmer corridor, a well-established residential area that provides a strong community base for the club's operations.

Community and Programs

The Kenmore Bears field senior men's and women's teams in the QFA, as well as maintaining strong ties to the Kenmore Junior AFL program that gave birth to the senior club in 1997. The club's junior program has been central to the Bears' success, providing a consistent pipeline of locally developed talent into the senior ranks. Kenmore's women's football program has expanded significantly in line with the growth of the game across Queensland, with the Bears fielding competitive women's teams in the QFA women's competition. The club prides itself on its family-friendly culture and strong community links throughout the Kenmore and western Brisbane suburbs.

Kenmore

Kenmore is a residential suburb in the western inner suburbs of Brisbane, situated approximately 11 kilometres south-west of the Brisbane CBD in the Brisbane City Council local government area. The suburb is bordered by Kenmore Hills, Chapel Hill, Pullenvale, and Brookfield, and sits within the Moggill Creek catchment area, which provides significant bushland corridors through the western suburbs. Kenmore developed primarily during the 1960s and 1970s as Brisbane expanded westward, and today it is characterised by elevated residential housing, strong school communities, and well-maintained sporting facilities. The suburb is served by the Western Freeway corridor and is close to the University of Queensland at St Lucia, contributing to a strong community profile throughout the western Brisbane corridor.

  • Footy Banner Information

Material:  All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using permanent inks which will not run, even if they get wet.  They are fully recyclable.

How to Use:  We recommend taping broomsticks or plastic pipe to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it.  If you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through.  There are instructions and images for how to cut these in the FAQ section below.

On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon!  This is why we do not pre-cut them, and also so you can get photographs with your intact banner when it looks at it's best.

Tip: Some players choose to only cut one weak spot in their banner so it can be saved and displayed later by taping it back together on the back.

Pro Tip:  Cut the weak spot to one side of the mascot or team logo so it stays intact as well!

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
