From a player's first 50 games in the blue and red to a grand final run through the Sydney AFL competition, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners that capture the heart of the Bulldogs. Order yours and give your player the send-off they deserve.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner styles. For a player banner, simply provide the name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Matt Green, #21, 100 Games. All banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper designed to hold strong even on a sweltering Sydney afternoon at the footy.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Bulldogs players reach the same milestone on the same match day, our Two Player Banner lets you celebrate them together. Just provide both names and guernsey numbers and we'll deliver a quality banner ready for the occasion.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

For 3 to 6 players celebrating a milestone together, our Team Banner is the perfect way to recognise the group. Feature a bold top-line message like "Go Bulldogs!" and list every player being honoured. A brilliant choice for a milestone round or end-of-season event.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks that won't fade over time. Hang a Bulldogs keepsake in the clubrooms, garage, or games room as a lasting tribute to a great season.

Grand Final Banners

Available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, our Grand Final Banners feature fully customised top and bottom text to fire up the Bulldogs faithful on the biggest day of the year. Contact us for design advice and let FootyBanners.com help East Sydney Bulldogs make their mark in the Sydney AFL competition.

About East Sydney Bulldogs

Origins and Founding

The East Sydney Australian Football Club was founded in 1880, making it one of the oldest Australian rules football clubs in New South Wales. The club played under various incarnations in the Sydney competition for well over a century, becoming a powerhouse of the New South Wales game. In 1999, the club merged with the University of New South Wales Australian National Football Club to form the UNSW-Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs, though the club is still widely known and celebrated as the East Sydney Bulldogs.

Club History

With 28 Sydney AFL premierships, the Bulldogs hold one of the most decorated records in the competition's history. Under the "East Sydney" banner, the club claimed titles in 1903, 1911, 1918, 1926, 1927, 1941, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1971, 1973, 1976, and five consecutive flags from 1980 to 1984. Since the 1999 merger, UNSW-Eastern Suburbs has added further premierships in 2002, 2003, 2012, 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023. Notable alumni include Dane Rampe, Nick Blakey, and Errol Gulden (all Sydney Swans), Will Langford (Hawthorn Hawks), Ben Davis (Adelaide Crows), and Mark Maclure, who went on to play 244 games for the Carlton Blues. Legendary figures associated with the club include cricketer Victor Trumper, after whom Trumper Oval in Paddington is named, and Les Darcy, one of Australia's most celebrated boxers.

Home Ground

The Bulldogs' primary home ground is Trumper Oval in Paddington, one of the most historic football grounds in New South Wales. The club also uses David Philips Sports Complex in Daceyville for home fixtures. Trumper Oval has hosted Australian rules football in Sydney's eastern suburbs for generations, with the grandstand bearing a plaque dedicated to club great Frank Dixon, who was also a Deputy Lord Mayor of Sydney.

Community and Programs

The Bulldogs field teams across multiple grades including senior, reserves, women's, and junior divisions, providing pathways for players of all ages and experience levels. The club's affiliation with UNSW gives it a strong student and university community base, while its deep roots in Paddington and the eastern suburbs ensure it remains a genuine community club. The Bulldogs actively develop young players for representative football, with the Sydney AFL pathway producing multiple AFL-listed players in recent decades.

Paddington and the Eastern Suburbs

Paddington is an inner-eastern suburb of Sydney, located approximately 5 kilometres from the CBD. Known for its Victorian terrace houses, vibrant Oxford Street dining precinct, and the weekend Paddington Markets, the suburb sits at the heart of Sydney's eastern suburbs and has long been associated with arts, culture, and community life. The broader eastern suburbs area - taking in Randwick, Bondi, and Daceyville - forms the Bulldogs' natural recruiting and supporter base.

The Bulldogs compete in the Sydney AFL competition and call Trumper Oval, Paddington home. Visit the club website for fixtures, news, and registration details, and follow them on Facebook and follow them on Instagram for match-day updates.

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
