Miranda Bombers Football Banners - Back the Bombers

Whether it's a milestone game, a season-best effort, or a grand final run, FootyBanners.com makes it easy to create a personalised banner celebrating your favourite Miranda Bombers player. Show your Bombers pride with a custom banner the whole club will love.

Simple to Order

Choose a Single Player Banner and enter the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone. Our banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper - perfect for a crisp Sydney morning or an afternoon showdown at Waratah Oval.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Bombers are hitting the same milestone, our Two Player Banner lets you celebrate both at once. Just provide each player's name and guernsey number for a quality dual banner that captures the moment.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Our Team Banner option covers 3 to 6 players in a single banner. Set the top line - something like "Miranda Bombers - We Back Our Boys" - and let the banner tell the story. Great for presentation nights, milestones, and finals celebrations.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Display your Bombers banner in the clubrooms, the garage, or the games room as a lasting keepsake.

Grand Final Banners

Available in 4.5m and 5.5m, our Grand Final Banners can be fully customised with your own top and bottom text. Contact us for personalised design advice for your Miranda Bombers Football Club grand final banner.

About Miranda Bombers Football Club

Origins and Founding

Miranda Bombers Football Club was founded in 1958, making it one of the longer-established Australian rules football clubs in New South Wales. The Bombers have been a consistent presence in the Sutherland Shire for nearly seven decades, fielding both senior and junior teams and building a reputation as one of Sydney's more competitive clubs. The club competes in the AFL Sydney competition, the premier community Australian rules competition in NSW, and runs junior programs through AFL Sydney Juniors for players aged four to 17.

Club History

Since 1958, the Miranda Bombers have grown steadily in both player numbers and competitive standing. The club's status within AFL Sydney received further recognition when it became a development pathway for elite juniors - a notable alumni connection emerged when a Miranda Bombers player was identified as part of the Sydney Swans AFL Academy and featured as one of Australia's top Indigenous rising stars in 2025. In 2024, the Bombers had a particularly strong season, fielding three grades in the grand final - a remarkable depth of talent across the club's senior, reserves, and third-tier competitions. The club's youth development pipeline has produced multiple NSW-ACT representative players over the years.

Home Ground

The Bombers play their home games at Lincoln Oval on Rawson Avenue, Sutherland, where the clubrooms are also based. The ground has been the club's home base throughout much of its history and sits in the heart of the Sutherland Shire. Waratah Oval in Sutherland is also used by the club for matches, giving the Bombers access to quality facilities within their local area.

Community and Programs

The Miranda Bombers run one of Sydney's more active junior programs, with teams for kids aged four to 17 under the AFL Sydney Juniors banner. The club is known for its welcoming, family-friendly culture and its commitment to growing football participation in the Sutherland Shire. The Bombers' partnership with the Sydney Swans AFL Academy reflects the club's standing as a genuine talent nursery for the wider NSW football community.

Miranda and the Sutherland Shire

Miranda is a commercial and residential suburb in the Sutherland Shire, located approximately 26 kilometres south of the Sydney CBD. Part of the Sutherland Shire Council local government area, Miranda is best known as home to the Westfield Miranda shopping centre - one of the largest retail complexes in Australia - as well as easy transport links via the Illawarra railway line. The Sutherland Shire has a strong community sport culture, and the Bombers have been a fixture of that culture for more than 65 years.

The Bombers compete in AFL Sydney and call Lincoln Oval in Sutherland home. Follow the Bombers on Facebook for news, match reports, and club updates throughout the season.

  • Footy Banner Information

Material:  All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using permanent inks which will not run, even if they get wet.  They are fully recyclable.

How to Use:  We recommend taping broomsticks or plastic pipe to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it.  If you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through.  There are instructions and images for how to cut these in the FAQ section below.

On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon!  This is why we do not pre-cut them, and also so you can get photographs with your intact banner when it looks at it's best.

Tip: Some players choose to only cut one weak spot in their banner so it can be saved and displayed later by taping it back together on the back.

Pro Tip:  Cut the weak spot to one side of the mascot or team logo so it stays intact as well!

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
