St Clair Comets Rugby Football Banners - Celebrate Every Comets Milestone

From a young player's debut to a grand final to remember, FootyBanners.com creates custom rugby football banners for the St Clair Comets that make every occasion truly special. Whether it's a milestone game or an end-of-season celebration, we'll help your Comets shine.

Simple to Order

Order a Single Player Banner by providing the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Jayden Torres, #7, 100 Games. Our banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper ready for a warm Sydney afternoon at the ground. Durable, bold, and built to last well beyond the final whistle.

Two Players, One Banner

Got two Comets reaching a milestone together? Our Two Player Banner celebrates both players on a single premium banner - just provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the milestone they're being recognised for. Double the occasion, one outstanding banner.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Bring the whole squad together with a Team Banner featuring 3 to 6 players. Set a message like "St Clair Comets - Rising Stars of the West" and give your team something to run through with pride. A perfect touch for any grand final or end-of-season presentation.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks - ideal for the clubrooms, the bedroom, or the games room. A lasting memento for every proud St Clair Comet.

Grand Final Banners

Available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with fully customised top and bottom text. Contact us early for personalised design advice when the St Clair Comets are heading into the big dance.

About St Clair Comets Rugby League Football Club

Origins and Founding

The St Clair Comets Rugby League Football Club was founded in 1984 as West St Clair, and has grown from modest beginnings into one of the largest community rugby league clubs in the Penrith district. The club is based in St Clair, New South Wales, in western Sydney's Penrith region, and competes in the Penrith Rugby League competition. The club is sometimes described as having been started over a beer - and from those informal origins it went on to launch the careers of multiple NRL stars.

Club History

The St Clair Comets have won three Penrith Rugby League premierships, in 2016, 2017, and 2025, establishing the club as one of the competition's most successful clubs in recent history. The 2025 season brought both an Under-15s Division 2 premiership and an A Grade Don Feltis Cup premiership. With over 700 registered players, the Comets are considered one of the biggest clubs in the Penrith area, fielding teams from junior grades through to Opens across multiple divisions.

The club has produced a remarkable number of NRL players from its junior pathways, including Stephen Crichton (Penrith Panthers and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs), Matt Moylan (Penrith Panthers and Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks), Frank Pritchard (Penrith Panthers and various NRL clubs), Kurtley Beale (rugby union, Waratahs and Wallabies), Dallin Watene-Zelezniak (Penrith Panthers and NZ Warriors), and Blake Austin (Canberra Raiders and Toronto Wolfpack). This alumni record reflects the club's exceptional player development environment.

Home Ground

St Clair Comets play their home games at two grounds: Peppertree Sports Complex and Peter Kearns Memorial Oval, both in the St Clair district of western Sydney. Open Women's training nights and fixtures are held at Peter Kearns Memorial Oval, with training sessions running on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both grounds are central to the club's operations throughout the Penrith Rugby League season.

Community and Programs

The Comets field teams from junior grades through to Opens and an Open Women's team, making the club one of the most complete rugby league clubs in the Penrith district. The club has grown to over 700 registered players and is supported by an active volunteer base and sponsor network. The St Clair Comets JRLC Facebook page has over 7,700 followers, demonstrating the club's deep engagement with the western Sydney rugby league community.

St Clair

St Clair is a suburb in the Penrith region of western Sydney, located within the City of Penrith local government area approximately 50 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD. At the 2021 census, St Clair had a usual resident population of 19,942, living in 6,748 dwellings. The suburb sits between Emu Plains, Claremont Meadows, and St Marys, and is bordered by the Western Sydney Parklands and Penrith's broader urban growth corridor. Rugby league is deeply embedded in the culture of western Sydney, making the Comets a natural focal point for community sport in the area.

The Comets compete in the Penrith Rugby League competition and call Peppertree Sports Complex and Peter Kearns Memorial Oval in St Clair home. Visit the club website for more information and follow them on Facebook for news and match day updates.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
