About Ferny Grove Falcons
Origins and Founding
The Ferny Grove Falcons were established following a public meeting held at Ferny Grove High School on 25 November 1991, convened by AFL Queensland to gauge community interest in forming a new club in the area. Support was immediate, and the club was incorporated in 1992, taking to the field for its inaugural season with home games played at the Ferny Grove High School oval on McGinn Road. The Falcons quickly grew into one of south-east Queensland's most active junior clubs, with strong participation across all age groups by the mid-1990s.

Club History
After the club's early years in the Ferny Grove High School grounds, the Falcons returned to their current home ground in 1997 following remedial work at the site. In 2002 the club developed and opened its clubhouse, a facility now shared with the Arana Bridge Club. A senior men's team was launched in 2015, competing in the local AFL Queensland competition on Friday nights. By 2020 the club had completed a new changerooms and umpire room development, retaining the head lease on those facilities and making them available to local cricket and netball groups. In 2021 the Falcons fielded their first girls team in the Under 11 competition, expanding to two girls sides in 2022. A Men's Masters team followed in 2022, and in 2023 the club launched its inaugural Women's Masters team.

Home Ground
The Falcons play their home games on the grounds adjacent to Ferny Grove in the north-western suburbs of Brisbane. The club's facilities were substantially upgraded with new changerooms and community spaces in 2020, and the Falcons hold the head lease on these facilities while also sharing them with local cricket and netball clubs.

Community and Programs
The Falcons run programs across every level of the game - Auskick, junior development, youth, senior men, senior women, and masters divisions for both men and women. The club describes itself as a "Women and Girls Chartered Club", actively promoting participation for females at every age. It maintains close ties with the local school community and regularly partners with families new to the area to introduce them to Australian rules football.

Ferny Grove
Ferny Grove is a suburb in the Moreton Bay Region of south-east Queensland, approximately 20 kilometres north-west of Brisbane's CBD. The area is served by its own railway station on the Ferny Grove line and is known for its bushland setting, family-friendly streets and access to the D'Aguilar National Park. The suburb is part of the broader north-western growth corridor connecting inner Brisbane with the Somerset Region.
