Frankston YCW Stonecats Banners - Marking Every Milestone at Stonecats Country

When a Stonecat reaches a milestone, FootyBanners.com is ready to help the Frankston YCW Football Club celebrate in style. Our custom-made banners are built for the occasion - from junior debuts to senior legends - and every Stonecat is worth celebrating.

Simple to Order

Ordering a Stonecats banner is easy. Select from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner styles. For player banners, provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Jake Collins, #21, 100 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, these banners are designed to handle the windswept chill of a Frankston winter's day on the boundary.

Two Players, One Banner

Celebrating two Stonecats players reaching the same milestone together? Our Two Player Banner is a great way to honour both at once. Supply both players' names and guernsey numbers - they'll need to be celebrating the same milestone game - and we'll put together a top-quality banner for the pair.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Covering 3 to 6 players, the Team Banner option is perfect for presentation nights or a milestone round. A top-line message like "Frankston YCW Stonecats - Club Champions" gives the banner that extra touch that makes it truly special for every player who runs through it.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Our Wall Keepsake Banners are available in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Whether it's hanging in the Stonecats clubrooms or pride of place in a player's games room, this is a keepsake that will last long after the final siren.

Grand Final Banners

Available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, our Grand Final Banners can be personalised with the Frankston YCW Stonecats' own top and bottom text. Get in touch with us for design advice and we'll ensure your banner makes a statement on the biggest day of the season.

About Frankston YCW Stonecats Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Frankston YCW Football Club traces its origins to 1959, when it was established under the patronage of the Young Catholic Workers (YCW) movement through Saint Francis Xavier Parish in Frankston. The club's early teams drew from the local Catholic community and competed in junior competitions before fielding its first senior side in 1967. The "YCW" designation reflects those Catholic social movement roots - a name the club has retained with pride throughout its history despite long since expanding well beyond its parish origins. Over the decades the club has grown into one of the largest football and netball clubs on the Mornington Peninsula, fielding senior and junior teams across both codes under the unified "Stonecats" banner.

Club History

Frankston YCW joined the Nepean Football League (NFL) in 1970 and quickly established themselves as a force on the Peninsula, claiming the NFL premiership in 1974 and again in 1975. The club built further success through the late 1970s and early 1980s, winning additional flags in 1979, 1982, and 1984 under separate coaching regimes that each left a mark on the club's competitive culture.

When the Nepean Football League merged with the Mornington Peninsula Football League in 1987 to form the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League (MPNFL), Frankston YCW was one of the foundation clubs. The merged competition brought together the strongest clubs from both sides of the Peninsula and provided a more demanding stage - one the Stonecats met with distinction. Since joining the MPNFL they have won 14 premierships in total, with a particularly dominant stretch beginning in 2010. The club claimed six MPNFL Division 1 premierships in the seven-year period from 2010 to 2016, a run of sustained success that established their reputation as the benchmark club in the competition. Their 2022 grand final victory was their eighth MPNFL title since 2010, cementing a two-decade era of genuine dominance.

Home Ground

Frankston YCW calls Jubilee Park home - a major sporting precinct located in the suburb of Frankston. The ground is part of the broader Jubilee Park facility, which serves as a significant regional sports hub within the Frankston City Council area. The club operates out of the Dr. Kevin Collopy Pavilion, a modern facility that supports both the senior football and netball programs. The Stonecats senior men's teams train on the outdoor ovals, while the club's netball section - the "Stonekittens" - operates alongside them at the same precinct. Jubilee Park's central location within Frankston makes it easily accessible to supporters from across the Peninsula.

Community and Programs

As one of the Mornington Peninsula's largest community sporting clubs, Frankston YCW fields senior and junior football teams alongside senior and junior netball competitions. The club's junior football and netball programs introduce hundreds of local children to the game each year, with a strong pathway structure designed to develop players through age groups and into the senior sides. The club also hosts an Auskick Centre, providing a fun and welcoming entry point into Australian football for children in the Frankston area. The broader football and netball netball program reflects the club's commitment to being a genuine community hub rather than just a senior sporting club.

Frankston

Frankston is a coastal city located on the eastern shore of Port Phillip Bay, approximately 40 kilometres south-east of Melbourne's CBD. It sits at the northern gateway to the Mornington Peninsula and serves as the regional centre for the broader Peninsula area, with a population of around 140,000 in the greater Frankston local government area. The city is known for its beaches, the Frankston Arts Centre, Bayside Shopping Centre, and its role as the southern terminus of the Frankston railway line. It has a diverse community spanning long-established families and newer residents, many drawn by the coastal lifestyle and relative affordability compared to inner Melbourne. Frankston City has invested significantly in urban renewal over recent decades, including upgrades to the foreshore precinct and Jubilee Park sporting facilities.

The Stonecats compete in the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League (MPNFL) and call Jubilee Park, Frankston home. Visit the club website for more information and follow them on Facebook for news and match day updates.

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.
