Gisborne Giants Banners - Marking Every Milestone with Pride

FootyBanners.com produces custom banners for the Gisborne Giants Football Club - from debut games to century milestones, every achievement deserves a banner that does it justice. Our designs are personalised specifically for Giants players and supporters, making every big day even more special.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner styles. For any player banner, provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Tom Maguire, #4, 100 Games. Printed with permanent, weatherproof inks on heavy-duty paper, our banners are tough enough for a cold Victorian winter morning on the wing.

Two Players, One Banner

Two Giants teammates hitting the same milestone? Our Two Player banner celebrates both players on one quality banner. Just give us their names, guernsey numbers, and shared milestone and we'll take care of the rest.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

When 3 to 6 players all reach milestones in the same round, our Team Banner option is perfect for the group. The top line could read "GIANTS MILESTONE ROUND" with player names listed below. A great way for the Gisborne Giants to celebrate together as a club.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks - ideal for a Giants supporter's games room, home, or the clubrooms. A proud reminder of what every player has contributed to the club.

Grand Final Banners

Our Grand Final banners come in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes and can be customised with your own top and bottom text for the Gisborne Giants Football Club. Contact us for help with the design and we'll make sure your finals day banner stands out.

About Gisborne Giants Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Gisborne Giants Football Netball Club was established in 2016 in response to overwhelming demand for junior football and netball in the area. As documented by Wikipedia, the existing Gisborne Rookies Junior Football Netball Club could not accommodate the number of families wanting to participate, and so the Giants were formed as a separate club to serve the growing community. The Giants immediately built a strong junior program across both football and netball, winning junior premierships in multiple age groups in their early years.

Club History

From 2016 through to 2021 the club operated exclusively as a junior program, developing a reputation for fast growth and strong community participation. In 2022, for the first time in the club's history, the Giants fielded a senior football team in the Under 19.5 competition of the Riddell District Football Netball League (RDFNL). The team finished as minor-premiers in 2023 but were defeated in the grand final by Macedon. In 2024 they went one better, winning the Under 19.5 grand final against Kyneton by 25 points - the club's first senior football premiership. That same year the Giants D-grade netball team also won their grand final against Romsey. In 2025, following the completion of their new home ground facility, the club launched a full senior program fielding sides across all football and netball divisions.

Home Ground

The Giants play at the Macedon Ranges Sports Precinct, located on the corner of Hamilton and Barringo Roads in New Gisborne. The precinct was developed over several years to provide the club with a permanent, purpose-built home, with the new facility completing in time for the 2025 season. Prior to this development the club shared existing local grounds while the precinct was under construction. The Macedon Ranges Sports Precinct is designed to service both football and netball programs and represents a major investment in community sport for the Gisborne area.

Community and Programs

The Giants offer Auskick (beginner), SuperKick, junior football, junior netball, senior football, and senior netball, making them one of the most comprehensive community sporting clubs in the Macedon Ranges. The club's motto - "Our Kids, Our Community, Our Club" - reflects a commitment to grassroots participation over elite performance. The club operates across all age groups and abilities, and its rapid growth from a junior overflow club in 2016 to a full senior program by 2025 reflects the depth of community support in the Gisborne area.

Gisborne

Gisborne is a town in the Macedon Ranges, located approximately 54 kilometres north-west of Melbourne in the Shire of Macedon Ranges. With a population of 14,432 at the 2021 census, it is the largest town in its shire and has seen steady residential growth as a commuter community for Melbourne. Established in 1851, the town sits at 443 metres above sea level at the foot of Mount Macedon and is known for its green hillside setting, boutique food and wine scene, and strong community identity.

The Giants compete in the Riddell District Football Netball League and call the Macedon Ranges Sports Precinct home. Visit the club website for more information, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
