Kiama Power Banners - Powering Up Every Milestone on the South Coast
From your first milestone game to your hundredth, FootyBanners.com creates personalised banners for the Kiama Power that capture the spirit of footy on the NSW South Coast. Trust us to produce a custom banner that every Power player will be proud to run through.
Simple to Order
Getting your Kiama Power banner ordered is quick and easy. Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner styles. For player banners, all you need to supply is the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Matt Ryan, #22, 100 Games. All banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, designed to stand up to the salt air and sunshine of the NSW South Coast.
Two Players, One Banner
Two Power players celebrating the same milestone? Our Two Player Banner is the perfect solution. Provide both players' names and guernsey numbers - the same milestone game must apply to both - and we'll produce a quality banner that does justice to both achievements on the day.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Our Team Banner option handles 3 to 6 players in one banner, making it perfect for Kiama Power milestone rounds and presentation nights. A top-line message like "Kiama Power - Club Legends" brings the whole celebration together and gives every player listed a keepsake to be proud of.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are produced on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A fantastic addition to the Power clubrooms or a player's home, these banners are a lasting reminder of what the Power community stands for.
Grand Final Banners
Available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, our Grand Final Banners for the Kiama Power can be fully personalised with your own top and bottom text. Contact us for design advice and we'll help make sure the banner is ready for the biggest moment of the season.
About Kiama Power Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Kiama Power Football Club was born from an inspired conversation in 1998, when Tom Rawson and James Walton watched Auskickers on the Sydney Cricket Ground at half time of a Sydney Swans game and resolved to bring junior AFL to Kiama on the NSW South Coast. After discovering there was no junior competition in the region, they convened a meeting at North Dalton Park in late 1998 with representatives from five other clubs, laying the groundwork for the South Coast AFL junior competition. The Kiama Power junior club was formally established and played its first game in 1999 with 42 registered players across Auskick, under-10s and under-12s.
Club History
The senior men's club entered the AFL South Coast competition from 2002, competing in the Shoalhaven-Illawarra region of New South Wales. The Power have since claimed three senior men's premierships - in 2009, 2011 and 2018 - establishing themselves as one of the competition's most successful clubs. The women's program, launched in 2018, reached the pinnacle quickly, winning the AFL South Coast women's premiership in 2023. The club fields teams across men's, women's, reserve grade and junior competitions, providing football pathways for players of all ages and experience levels.
Home Ground
The Power call Bonaira Playing Field home - a compact, community-feel ground situated in Kiama's Bonaira area, directly across the road from the famous Kendall's Beach. The junior club moved to Bonaira Reserve in 2000 after the Kiama Hockey Club vacated the ground, and it has been the spiritual home of Power football ever since. The ground's coastal setting, within walking distance of the Kiama blowholes and foreshore, makes it one of the more picturesque AFL grounds on the NSW seaboard.
Community and Programs
As the club's own words describe it, the Power is "built on families and people coming together to be part of something they're passionate about." The club welcomes players of all abilities and runs junior teams from Auskick through to under-18s, alongside senior men's, senior women's and reserve grade programs. New players, families, supporters and sponsors are always welcomed to the Power community.
Kiama
Kiama is a coastal town in the Kiama Municipality local government area on the NSW South Coast, approximately 120 kilometres south of Sydney. The town is renowned for the Kiama Blowhole, one of the most powerful blowholes in the world, as well as its beaches, sea pools and historic lighthouse. With a population of around 12,000, Kiama is a popular destination for families relocating from Sydney and a thriving regional community. The town sits between Wollongong (30 km north) and Nowra, and forms part of the broader Illawarra-Shoalhaven region.
The Power compete in AFL South Coast and call Bonaira Playing Field, Kiama home. Visit the club website for more information and follow them on Facebook for news and match day updates.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
