From milestone games to finals runs, FootyBanners.com creates fully custom Sydney Cubs banners that capture the excitement of Australian rules football in Sydney and give players and supporters a memento worth keeping.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options and provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone (for example, Tom Walsh, #18, 100 Games). Banners are produced with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper that holds up through a warm Sydney afternoon at the ground.

Two Players, One Banner

Two Cubs players hitting the same milestone on the same day? Our Two Player banner celebrates both in one great design. Provide both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll handle everything from there.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

For groups of 3 to 6 players celebrating together, our Team Banner option covers the whole squad in one striking design. Set a punchy top-line message like "Go Cubs Go!" and give your players a banner they'll be proud to run through.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A lasting keepsake for the Cubs clubrooms or a proud display at a supporter's home.

Grand Final Banners

When the Cubs are in the grand final, make it a day to remember with a banner in 4.5m or 5.5m. Top and bottom text is fully customised for Sydney Cubs Football Club. Contact us early for design and wording advice.

About Sydney Cubs Football Club

Origins and Community

The Sydney Cubs Football Club is a community Australian rules football club competing in the Sydney football landscape. The Cubs are part of the growing AFL community in New South Wales, where participation in Australian rules football has expanded significantly since the 1980s following the relocation of South Melbourne to Sydney in 1982 - a move that helped grow grassroots interest in the sport across the city.

AFL in Sydney

Sydney's local Australian rules football scene is overseen by AFL Sydney, one of the largest local AFL leagues in Australia. Founded on 12 February 1903 as the Sydney Football League, the competition was renamed the Sydney AFL in 1998 and has operated under the AFL Sydney banner since 2009. It currently comprises 22 clubs fielding 118 teams across seven senior men's divisions, five women's divisions, a Masters Division, and junior competitions. The Cubs compete within this broader structure, representing their local community and providing players of all experience levels the opportunity to play Australian football in one of Australia's largest cities.

Home Ground and Programs

The Sydney Cubs offer competitive football for senior and junior players, with an emphasis on community participation and player development. The club operates within Sydney's highly competitive local football landscape, competing against clubs that draw players from across the greater metropolitan area. Sydney has historically produced AFL talent at both the elite and grassroots levels, with the city's local competition providing a vital development pathway for players aspiring to progress through the ranks.

Sydney, New South Wales

Sydney is Australia's largest city by population, home to more than 5.3 million people in the greater metropolitan area. It serves as the capital of New South Wales and has a vibrant and growing Australian rules football community, supported by the presence of the AFL's Sydney Swans at Stadium Australia and the GWS Giants at ENGIE Stadium. The growth of local community football in Sydney reflects a broader national effort to develop the game outside its traditional Victorian stronghold.

The Sydney Cubs compete in the local AFL competition in New South Wales. For the latest news, match results, and registration information, follow the club through their social media channels.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
