Whether it's a landmark game or a season full of unforgettable moments, FootyBanners.com has you covered with a fully custom banner for your favourite Tiger. From first games to 100-game milestones, celebrate every achievement in style.
Simple to Order
Select from our Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options and personalise with the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Sam Jones, #7, 50 Games. Our banners use permanent inks on heavy-duty paper so they hold up through even the most sweltering Adelaide afternoon on the oval.
Two Players, One Banner
Got two Tigers hitting the same milestone in the same game? Our Two Player banner is perfect for the occasion - just provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the milestone you're celebrating, and we'll create a quality keepsake they'll both be proud of.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Honour the whole squad with our Team Banner option, featuring space for 3-6 players. Try a top-line message like "TIGERS - 2025 PREMIERS" to lead your team out in style. A brilliant way to bring the group together and mark a special season as one.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks built to last. Perfect for the clubrooms, garage, or games room - a lasting tribute to your favourite Tiger and all they've achieved.
Grand Final Banners
We offer Grand Final banners in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, each fully customised with your choice of top and bottom text. Contact us for personalised design advice and let's make sure the Mitcham Junior Tigers run out in true style on the big day.
About Mitcham Junior Tigers Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Mitcham Junior Tigers Football Club is the junior arm of the Mitcham Football Club, one of Melbourne's longest-serving east suburban football clubs. The senior club was established in 1888, competing initially in the Box Hill Reporter District Football League before becoming a foundation member of the Eastern Football League in 1962. The junior program developed organically from the senior club's deep roots in the Mitcham community, providing a pathway for local children into Australian Rules football under the same tiger banner.
Club History
The Mitcham Football Club has won 18 senior premierships across its history, including back-to-back Eastern Football Netball League (EFNL) Division 1 flags in 2023 and 2024. Earlier titles include a famous three-peat between 1979 and 1981, and wins in 2015, 2019, as well as the earlier 1903, 1904, 1914, 1915, 1919, 1921, 1935, 1947, 1952, 1970, and 1975 seasons. The 2024 premiership lifted the club into the EFNL Premier Division for the first time since 2006. The junior club has grown to field over 18 Boys and Girls teams across all age groups, including four Girls teams and an Auskick program running every Friday night. Notable players to come from the Mitcham area include AFL players Blake Hardwick (Hawthorn) and historical star Bob Pratt.
Home Ground
The Mitcham Tigers call Walker Park their home ground, located in Mitcham in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. The ground, positioned off Whitehorse Road, is widely regarded as one of the premier grounds in the league. It hosts both the senior and junior competitions throughout the season and serves as the club's training base for all age groups.
Community and Programs
The Mitcham Football Netball Club describes its mission as developing well-rounded young Australians through football, emphasising respect, humility, integrity, and fair play. In addition to junior football, the club runs a senior women's team that debuted in 2022 and reached the grand final in 2023. The junior club also received the prestigious Gordon Parker Best Conducted Junior Club award in 2014, recognising its standard of administration, volunteer work, and player welfare. An active committee of over 20 roles supports registration, coaching development, first aid, girls' footy development, and merchandise.
Mitcham
Mitcham is an eastern suburb of Melbourne, 20 kilometres from the CBD, located within the City of Whitehorse local government area. It recorded a population of 16,795 at the 2021 census. The suburb was settled in the 1860s and originally used for orchards and brickmaking. It is served by Mitcham railway station on the Belgrave and Lilydale lines and is known locally for the Schwerkolt Cottage museum and the Yarran Dheran bushland reserve along Mullum Mullum Creek.
The Tigers compete in the Eastern Football Netball League and call Walker Park, Mitcham, home. Visit the club website for more information, or follow them on Facebook for news and match day updates.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
