Simple to Order

Select from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banners. For player milestone banners, just provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Sam Keogh, #18, 100 Games. Every banner is printed with permanent, waterproof inks on heavy-duty paper designed to handle even the bitterest Melbourne winter morning without missing a beat.

Two Players, One Banner

Two players reaching the same milestone at the same game? Our Two Player banner puts both in the spotlight on one outstanding banner. Just send through both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll take care of the rest.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

When 3 to 6 Moonee Valley players are all hitting milestones in the same round, our Team Banner option brings everyone's achievement together on one banner. Set the top line to something like "Moonee Valley Football Club - Milestone Round" and create a game day that the whole club will remember.

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks, built for long-term display. About Moonee Valley Football Club

Origins and Founding

Moonee Valley Football Club was established in 1933, playing and winning its very first match in April of that year. The club joined the Essendon District Football League (EDFL) from its inception and has remained a continuous member of that competition for over 90 years. Based in the inner-northern Melbourne suburb of Moonee Ponds, approximately 7 kilometres from the CBD, the club has been a cornerstone of local community life in the north-west corridor since the Great Depression era.

Club History

The club's most celebrated senior era came in the early 1950s, when the Valley claimed the EDFL A Grade (Premier Division) premiership in 1952 - the only top-division flag in the club's senior history. The club was also a consistent force in the B Grade (Division 1) competition, winning premierships in 1975, 1986, 1994, and 1999. In the modern era, Moonee Valley won Division 2 premierships in 2014, 2018, and 2021, with the 2021 flag coming in a condensed season. The club now competes in EDFL Division 1. A remarkable aspect of the Valley's story is its record of producing AFL talent: Lynden Dunn played 165 games for Melbourne and 31 for Collingwood after being drafted with pick 15 in the 2004 National Draft; Peter Wright was taken with pick 8 in the 2014 National Draft and played for Gold Coast and Essendon; Luke Ryan was drafted by Fremantle in the 2016 National Draft (pick 66) and has played over 130 AFL games; and Reilly O'Brien was drafted by Adelaide in the 2015 Rookie Draft and has played over 140 games for the Crows.

Home Ground

The Valley's home ground is Ormond Park, located in Moonee Ponds, Victoria. Situated near Pattison Street, Ormond Park sits within earshot of the Moonee Valley Racecourse and the hum of CityLink. The ground hosts the club's senior men's and women's teams, as well as junior sides ranging from Under 8s to Under 18s. The facility serves as a central hub for the club's week-to-week operations and community activities.

Community and Programs

Moonee Valley FC fields multiple teams across all age groups and genders every weekend, from Under 8s through to open-age senior and reserves sides in both men's and women's competitions. The club launched its women's football program in 2021 and competes in the EDFL Women's Premier Division. The club has a strong junior program that has contributed players to the Calder Cannons Coates Talent League pathway. Moonee Valley's Auskick program provides the entry point for young players in the district, and the club runs regular fundraising and community events at Ormond Park throughout the season.

Moonee Ponds

Moonee Ponds is an established inner-Melbourne suburb approximately 7 kilometres north-west of the CBD, situated within the City of Moonee Valley local government area. With a population of around 12,000 residents, the suburb is known for its vibrant cafe culture along Mount Alexander Road, the historic Moonee Valley Racecourse, and its proximity to the Maribyrnong River parklands. Moonee Ponds has a strong community identity and a diverse residential population, making it a natural home for a community football club with deep roots in the area.

The Valley compete in the Essendon District Football League and call Ormond Park, Moonee Ponds home. Follow the club at mooneevalleyfc.com.au, on Facebook, and on Instagram.

  • Footy Banner Information

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
