Whether it's a round number of games or a standout individual achievement, every Murray Magpies milestone deserves a quality banner. FootyBanners.com creates custom Magpies banners that bring the club's pride to life on game day.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner styles. Provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Ryan Farrell, #5, 150 Games. Each banner is printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, so it will stand up to a warm NSW country afternoon at Urana Road Oval without fading.

Two Players, One Banner

Two Magpies players celebrating in the same game? Our Two Player Banner lets you honour both at once. Share each player's name and guernsey number, and we'll deliver a quality banner that puts both milestones in the spotlight.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

For 3 to 6 players marking a milestone in the same match, the Team Banner is an outstanding choice. Add a custom top-line message like "Go Magpies!" and a tagline that captures the spirit of the Murray Magpies Football and Netball Club.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Hang one proudly in the Magpies clubrooms, a supporter's lounge, or a player's home as a permanent memento of a special day.

About Murray Magpies Football Netball Club

Origins and Founding

The Murray Magpies Football Netball Club was established in 1997 and is based in Lavington, the largest suburb of the city of Albury in New South Wales. The club takes its name from the Murray River, which forms the border between New South Wales and Victoria near Albury, and has become a fixture of football culture in the border region. The Magpies entered the Hume Football Netball League (HFNL) and have competed at that level since, representing the northern side of the Albury-Wodonga region.

Club History

The Murray Magpies have competed continuously in the Hume Football Netball League since their founding, building their reputation as one of the region's consistent clubs. Prior to the current league structure, the club competed in the Coreen and District Football League, where they won the 2001 premiership - defeating Jerilderie in the grand final by 100 points to 64. The club's netball program has also produced strong results, with the Magpies claiming HFNL netball premierships in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Both the football and netball arms of the club have maintained a strong community presence in the Albury-Lavington area throughout the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s.

Home Ground

The Magpies play their home games at Urana Road Oval on Schneider Street in Lavington. The ground serves as the base for both the football and netball programs and is a well-established community facility in the Lavington area, situated within easy reach of Albury's northern suburbs. The oval provides the club with a permanent home in the heart of the community it serves.

Community and Programs

The Murray Magpies Football Netball Club fields teams across multiple age groups in both football and netball through the Hume Football Netball League competition. The club is committed to developing local talent from junior level through to seniors, and runs volunteer-driven programs focused on participation, inclusion, and the promotion of Australian rules football on both sides of the NSW-Victoria border. The club's social media presence through Facebook and Instagram keeps the local community connected with news and results throughout the season.

Lavington

Lavington is the largest suburb of Albury, New South Wales, located approximately 6 kilometres north of the Albury CBD. With a population of 13,073 at the 2021 census, it is one of the most populous suburbs in the Albury local government area. The suburb sits in the flat floodplain of the Murray River, with Nail Can Hill to the west and the Black Range to the north, giving it a distinctive landscape setting along the Victorian border. Albury-Wodonga together form one of Australia's largest inland regional cities.

The Magpies compete in the Hume Football Netball League and call Urana Road Oval, Lavington, home. Find the club on Facebook and on Instagram.

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
