Phillip Island Bulldogs Banners - Footy Pride on the Island
From milestone games to big grand final days, FootyBanners.com creates fully customised banners for the Phillip Island Bulldogs. Whether you're celebrating a 50-game milestone or cheering the team through finals, we've got you covered with quality banners that reflect your passion for the club.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner styles. For a player banner, simply provide the name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Jake Morrison, #11, 150 Games. Banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper that can hold its own through a wild bass coast afternoon.
Two Players, One Banner
When two players share a milestone, our Two Player Banner brings them together on one quality banner. Just provide both players' names, guernsey numbers, and the shared achievement, and we'll put together something worthy of the occasion.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Honour 3 to 6 players in one go with our Team Banner option. Set a memorable top line - something like "Bulldogs - Heart of Phillip Island" - and celebrate the group together. Great for end of season nights, club presentations, or any collective milestone worth marking.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. The perfect gift for any devoted Bulldogs supporter - ideal for the clubrooms, a garage, or a games room at home.
Grand Final Banners
We produce Grand Final Banners in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes, with fully customised top and bottom text. If you need help with the design or wording for your Phillip Island Bulldogs Football Club grand final banner, get in touch and we'll help you get it right.
About Phillip Island Bulldogs
Origins and Founding
The Phillip Island Football Netball Club was formed in 1930, making it one of the oldest sporting institutions on Phillip Island. From its beginnings, the club competed in the Wonthaggi and District Football League, re-entering competition in 1946 after World War Two. In 1955, the club was a founding member of the Bass Valley, Wonthaggi and District Football League (BVWDFL), reflecting the club's enduring role in shaping the competition landscape of South Gippsland.
Club History
The Bulldogs have navigated multiple league transitions over the decades, moving to the West Gippsland Football League in 1995 when the BVWDFL went into recess. The club joined the Alberton Football League in 2005 before aligning with the West Gippsland Football Netball Competition (WGFNC), in which it competes today. The WGFNC is accessible via the club's official website. The Bulldogs have achieved recent WGFNC success, including premiership wins at senior and junior levels, with the under 18s and thirds sides claiming flags in 2018 and 2019, and senior grand final appearances in 2019 and 2022.
Home Ground
The Phillip Island Football Netball Club plays its home games at the Cowes Recreation Reserve in Cowes, the main commercial and residential hub of Phillip Island. The ground is a well-established community venue that also hosts the club's bar and social rooms, which are open to members and visitors on Friday nights throughout the season, and on Thursday nights during the football season. It is the social heart of the club and a gathering point for islanders on match days.
Community and Programs
The PIFNC supports football and netball on Phillip Island for all ages from 10 years upwards, with junior, senior, and women's programs running throughout the year. The club's community reach spans the entire island, drawing players and supporters from Cowes, Newhaven, San Remo, and surrounding areas. Volunteer-run and deeply community-minded, the Bulldogs play an important role in island life year-round.
Phillip Island
Phillip Island is a scenic island off the coast of Victoria, located approximately 140 kilometres south-east of Melbourne in the Bass Strait. It is accessible via the San Remo bridge and is home to around 14,000 permanent residents, with visitor numbers swelling in summer and during the annual MotoGP at Phillip Island Circuit. Phillip Island is internationally known for its Penguin Parade at Summerland Beach, and is also famous for its surf, wildlife, and motorsport. The Bulldogs compete in the West Gippsland Football Netball Competition and call Cowes Recreation Reserve home. Visit the club website for fixtures and news, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for match day updates.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
