About Roxburgh Park Magpies
Origins and Founding
The Roxburgh Park Football Netball Club was established in 2002 as a junior club, entering the Essendon District Football League with seven junior teams across two divisions. The club grew rapidly alongside the expanding Roxburgh Park suburb, fielding its first senior, reserves, and under 18 sides in 2005. From the very beginning, the club has been built around community, offering families in Melbourne's north a welcoming home for football and netball at all levels.

Club History
In its first two decades of senior competition, the Roxburgh Park Magpies have achieved genuine finals success within the Essendon District Football League. The club claimed back-to-back Reserve Grade premierships in 2016 and 2017, before reaching the pinnacle of the EDFL with a Senior Grade premiership in 2018 - a landmark moment the club described as history being made. As confirmed on their official website and social media, the club has established itself as a competitive force in EDFL Division Two and continues to field competitive sides across all grades.

Home Ground
The Magpies play their home games at Lakeside Reserve, 75 Lakeside Drive, Roxburgh Park. The ground is a family-friendly facility well suited to the club's community-first ethos, hosting senior and junior football as well as netball throughout the season. Lakeside Reserve sits within the broader estate of the Roxburgh Park development and is easily accessible from Melbourne's northern freeway corridor.
