South East Suns Banners - Lighting Up Every Milestone Moment
The South East Suns deserve a celebration as bright as their name. FootyBanners.com creates custom banners that let your club mark every milestone - from 50 games to 200-plus - with something truly memorable.
Simple to Order
Pick from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banners. All we need is the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Tom McCrae, #3, 100 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner will hold up through every bracing South Australian afternoon without fading.
Two Players, One Banner
When two South East Suns players hit the same milestone in the same game, celebrate them both in one banner. Provide both names and guernsey numbers and our Two Player banner will give both of them the recognition they've earned.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Three to six players, one great banner - our Team Banner option is the ideal way to celebrate a milestone round or club presentation. Add a memorable top-line message like "South East Suns - Shining Together" and close with a rallying tagline that brings the whole squad together.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Perfect for the Suns' clubrooms, a player's home, or any proud supporter's games room - a lasting tribute to a great achievement.
Grand Final Banners
For the South East Suns' biggest game of the year, our 4.5m and 5.5m Grand Final banners feature fully customisable top and bottom text. Contact us for design advice and let's help the Suns make a grand entrance on their most important day.
About South East Suns Australian Football Club
Origins and Founding
The South East Suns Australian Football Club, nicknamed the Suns, is an Australian rules football club based in the Logan region of south-east Queensland. The club traces its origins to 1973 when the Woodridge Woodpeckers Football Club was formed, which became the Logan City Cobras in 1977 and competed under that name until 2014. On 1 August 2014, the South East Suns entity was formally established following the amalgamation of the Logan City Cobras and Beenleigh Buffaloes Football Clubs. The Suns compete in the Queensland Amateur Football Association (QAFA) A-Grade competition.
Club History
Across the full lineage of the Woodpeckers, Cobras, and Suns, the club has won four A-Grade senior premierships: 1978, 1980, 1985, and 2016. The 2016 flag was won under the South East Suns name, with the club also reaching the QAFA A-Grade Grand Final in other seasons. The club's reserves sides won premierships in 1981 and 1993. Multiple club representatives have gone on to compete at QAFL semi-professional level. The Suns have been regular finalists in QAFA competition, providing competitive football for the Logan City and south-east Brisbane corridor.
Home Ground
The South East Suns play their home games at Tansey Park, located in Tanah Merah, Queensland. Tansey Park is a community sporting complex that also hosts cricket and other sports. The park sits within the Tanah Merah residential precinct, providing a central location for players and supporters from across the Logan City south-east corridor to gather for home games and training sessions.
Community and Programs
The South East Suns AFC operates as a community-focused club, fielding senior men's and women's teams in QAFA competition. The club's formation from the merger of the Cobras and Buffaloes brought together two established south-east Queensland football communities, expanding the player base and supporter network available to the unified club. The club actively engages supporters and players through social media and maintains a connection to its predecessor club histories, acknowledging members with 200 and 300-game milestones through public recognition programs.
Tanah Merah
Tanah Merah is a residential suburb in the City of Logan, located approximately 28 kilometres south-east of the Brisbane CBD and 12 kilometres south-east of Logan Central. The suburb had a population of 4,754 at the 2021 census. The Logan City area is one of Queensland's most diverse and rapidly growing local government areas, with over 330,000 residents from more than 200 cultural backgrounds, providing a broad community catchment for local sports clubs including the South East Suns.
The Suns compete in the Queensland Amateur Football Association and call Tansey Park, Tanah Merah home. Follow the club on Facebook for fixture updates and news.
Footy Banner Information
All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using solvent inks which will not run, even if they get wet.
We recommend taping broomsticks to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it. if you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through.
On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon!
Return and Refund Policy
As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.
Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
