About Tarneit Titans Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Tarneit Titans Football Club was officially announced by the Western Region Football League (WRFL) in 2013, following the league's recognition of Tarneit's rapidly expanding population and the completion of an Australian Rules facility at Wootten Road Reserve. The club entered competition in 2014 as one of the newest clubs in Melbourne's west, making its mark immediately by winning its first senior men's game in Round 1 with a 79-point victory over the North Sunshine Roadrunners. Club History
After two seasons finding their feet in Division 3, the Titans made rapid progress from 2016 onward. That year the senior men's side secured the club's first ever finals victory, while the reserves reached the club's first men's Grand Final. In 2017, both the senior men and the women's team reached new milestones - the senior men contested their first Division 3 Grand Final, while the women's team claimed their first ever victory. The reserves side then delivered back-to-back premierships, winning in 2018 and 2019. The 2018 flag was won by a single point over Point Cook Centrals, with the reserves repeating the following year with a 32-point Grand Final win over Albanvale. Home Ground
The Titans play all home matches at Wootten Road Reserve in Tarneit. The ground was the catalyst for the club's formation - the WRFL cited the completion of the Australian Rules facility at Wootten Road as one of the key factors in granting Tarneit a licence in 2013.
