Thurgoona Bulldogs Banners - Celebrate Every Bulldogs Milestone

From debut games to long-serving Bulldog legends, FootyBanners.com makes it easy to honour every milestone in Thurgoona's proud football history. Our custom footy banners are designed for the Bulldogs community - players, families, and supporters who proudly call Thurgoona home.

Simple to Order

Choose from a Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final Banner to suit the occasion. For individual milestones, you'll need the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and achievement - for example, Sam Mitchell, #10, 100 Games. Banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper, built to handle any brisk Albury-Wodonga afternoon on the Thurgoona sideline.

Two Players, One Banner

Two Bulldogs players reaching the same milestone on the same day? Our Two Player Banner celebrates them both on one great banner. Both players must share the same milestone, and you'll need each player's name and guernsey number to complete the order.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Rally the whole club with a Team Banner featuring 3 to 6 players. Add a top-line message like "Bulldogs - Thurgoona Premiers" and make the celebration one the whole community will remember. Perfect for milestone rounds, finals campaigns, and grand final days.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Hang them in the Thurgoona clubrooms, your garage, or your games room as a permanent tribute to what it means to be a Thurgoona Bulldog.

Grand Final Banners

When the Thurgoona Bulldogs line up for the biggest game of the season, make sure the banner matches the occasion. Grand Final Banners come in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with fully customised top and bottom text. Contact us for design advice and we'll help create something the Bulldogs will be proud to run through.

About Thurgoona Football Netball Club

Origins and Founding

Thurgoona Football Netball Club has deep historical roots stretching back to 1883, when the first recorded match involving a Thurgoona team was played against Wodonga at Wodonga in July of that year. The club won its first premiership in 1900 in the Albury District Football Association, defeating Black Range at Jindera Park to claim the Swain Trophy. The current club iteration was re-established in 1988 after a previous incarnation as South Albury (playing as Thurgoona from 1977) ceased in 1981. Based in Thurgoona, New South Wales, the Bulldogs compete in the Tallangatta and District Football League (TDFL), a competition straddling the Victoria-NSW border in the Albury-Wodonga region.

Club History

In the modern era, the Bulldogs have claimed two TDFL senior premierships: back-to-back flags in 2016 and 2017. The club has also made finals appearances in 1993, 1994, 2007, 2009, and 2010, demonstrating periods of competitive growth. The club has been involved in the TDFL since its 1988 reformation and fields both a senior football team and a netball program under the Thurgoona Football Netball Club banner. The 2016 and 2017 premierships represent the high point of the club's modern era, establishing the Bulldogs as a serious contender in Upper Murray competition.

Home Ground

The Bulldogs play at the Thurgoona Football Ground, situated in the Thurgoona suburb of Albury. The ground serves the club's senior football, reserve, and netball programs throughout the TDFL season. The Albury-Wodonga twin-city region provides a strong community base for the club, drawing players and supporters from both sides of the NSW-Victorian border.

Community and Programs

The Thurgoona Football Netball Club provides football and netball opportunities for participants of all ages in the Thurgoona and broader Albury community. The club's netball arm competes in the Tallangatta and District Netball Association, ensuring the Bulldogs offer year-round community sport. The club is a key gathering point for the residential suburb of Thurgoona, which has grown rapidly as part of the broader Albury-Wodonga urban area.

Thurgoona

Thurgoona is a suburb of Albury, located in New South Wales just across the Murray River from Wodonga, Victoria. With a population of approximately 8,500 people as of the 2021 Census, Thurgoona has developed significantly over the past two decades as one of Albury's fastest-growing residential areas. Albury-Wodonga is a major regional centre with a combined population of around 100,000, positioned approximately 570 kilometres from both Melbourne and Sydney.

The Bulldogs compete in the Tallangatta and District Football League and call Thurgoona Football Ground home. Follow the club on Facebook.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
