Simple to Order

Our banners are made with permanent inks on heavy-duty paper, ready to hold up through everything from a sweltering Melbourne western-suburbs summer to a chilly winter afternoon at the ground.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Thunder players hit the same milestone, our Two Player Banner lets you celebrate both in one go. Provide each player's name and guernsey number and we'll produce a high-quality banner that captures the moment for both legends on the same day.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Our Team Banner option accommodates 3 to 6 players on a single banner, ideal for recognising a whole group at once. Add a custom top-line message like "Thunder - 2025 Champions" and create a lasting tribute to the whole team. Perfect for end-of-season nights and presentation evenings.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks that won't fade. Display your Thunder banner proudly in the clubrooms, at home in the garage, or hang it in the games room as a permanent reminder of great memories.

About Truganina Thunder Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Truganina Thunder Football and Netball Club is one of Melbourne's newest junior football clubs, formally incorporated at its inaugural Annual General Meeting on 3 October 2022. The club was established to serve the rapidly expanding residential community of Truganina, providing local families with a place to play sport, build friendships, and connect with their neighbours. From the outset, the Thunder operated as a dual-code club offering both Australian Rules football and netball programs for juniors, reflecting the strong family-oriented character of the area it was built to serve.
Club History
Despite being founded in 2022, the Thunder have already achieved a series of significant milestones. In July 2024, Football Victoria recognised the club as a 2 Star Club Changer, acknowledging its commitment to inclusive, community-focused football programs. In December 2024, club members voted to rename the club to Truganina Lions Football Club, signalling a new chapter in the club's development. The most recent landmark came in April 2026, when the Thunder fielded their first-ever senior side - the Senior Thirds - marking the transition from a junior-only club to a full multi-age competition organisation. The debut senior home game drew strong community support and, while the match resulted in a 58-68 loss to a highly credentialled opponent, the performance was celebrated as a proud moment in the club's short but eventful history.
Home Ground
The Truganina Thunder are based at 49 Mainview Boulevard, Truganina VIC 3029, within the City of Wyndham. The club operates out of local facilities serving the surrounding residential estates that have grown substantially since the early 2010s. As Truganina's population has surged, so too has demand for community sporting clubs, and the Thunder's ground and facilities have become an important gathering point for residents from across the suburb's many housing developments.
Community and Programs
The Thunder offer junior AFL and netball programs spanning multiple age groups, with a stated mission of creating a positive, team-focused, and united community club. The club emphasises inclusion, player wellbeing, and family participation, making it accessible for children of all backgrounds and skill levels. With Truganina's young and culturally diverse population, the Thunder play an important role in bringing together families from a wide range of communities under a shared love of sport. The expansion into senior football from 2026 provides a clear pathway for junior graduates to continue their football journey within the same club.
Truganina
Truganina is a rapidly growing outer-western suburb of Melbourne, located approximately 21 to 22 kilometres west of the Melbourne CBD. It falls primarily within the City of Wyndham local government area, with its northern portion extending into the City of Melton. Once a largely rural area, Truganina has undergone dramatic transformation as part of Melbourne's western growth corridor, with its population rising from 2,958 in 2006 to 20,687 in 2016, and reaching 36,305 at the 2021 Census. The suburb has a young, multicultural population with a high proportion of families, making it one of the fastest-growing communities in Victoria and an ideal environment for a young, energetic football club like the Thunder to take root and thrive.
The Thunder compete in the Wyndham junior competition and call Truganina home. Visit the club website for news, fixtures, and registration information, follow them on Facebook for club updates, and follow them on Instagram for match-day highlights and behind-the-scenes content.

Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
