Albion Cats Banners - Celebrate Your Cats in Style

From debut days to milestone games and grand finals, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners made for the Albion Cats. Celebrate your player with a banner as memorable as the moment itself.

Simple to Order

We offer Single Player, Two Player, Team, and Grand Final banner options. To personalise your banner, provide the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Luke Harrison, #27, 100 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner is built to hold up through a cold Melbourne winter morning at the ground without any trouble.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Cats hit the same milestone, a Two Player Banner lets you celebrate them both with one quality keepsake. Provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the shared milestone for a banner they will both be proud to display.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Feature 3 to 6 players on a Team Banner and make the run-through a moment the whole club will remember. A top-line message like "Go Cats!" captures the spirit and passion of a club that plays hard for the Albion community.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks designed to last. An Albion Cats keepsake banner looks great in the clubrooms, the garage, or the family games room.

Grand Final Banners

Give the Albion Cats grand final the entrance it deserves with a 4.5m or 5.5m banner featuring fully customised top and bottom text. Contact us and our team will help you create the perfect design for the big day.

About Albion Cats

Origins and Founding

The Albion Football Club, nicknamed the Cats, was founded in 1961 in the Melbourne suburb of Albion. The club was established when the Sunshine Football Club joined the VFA in 1959 and decided not to field a third open age team in the Footscray Districts Football League. Former Sunshine thirds players, concerned about playing opportunities in 1961, joined together to form a new club for the growing suburb of Albion. The Albion Football Club has competed in the Western Region Football League (now the Western Football Netball League) since that inaugural season.

Club History

In its early years Albion quickly made an impact in senior competition, securing its first Division 1 premiership in 1965 by defeating Parkside. Further Division 1 flags followed in 1985 (defeating Sunshine YCW) and 1986 (defeating Wembley Park), and then again in 2010 when the Cats defeated Spotswood. The club was relegated to Division 2 in 2020, and in 2021 added a netball team to its operations, expanding the club into a football and netball organisation. The Albion Football Netball Club remains committed to competing at the top level of the WFNL competition.

Home Ground

The Cats play their home games at J.R. Parsons Reserve, located in Sunshine in Melbourne's western suburbs. The ground serves as the club's base for training, home games, and community events. It is used by both the football and netball programs across senior and junior competitions throughout the WFNL season.

Community and Programs

The Albion Football Netball Club operates a range of programs including senior men's, women's, and junior football teams as well as the netball competition side launched in 2021. The club also runs an Auskick program at J.R. Parsons Reserve on Friday evenings during the junior football season, providing an entry point into Australian rules football for children in the Albion and Sunshine communities. The club's volunteer base and supporter community have been a constant fixture at Parsons Reserve since the club's formation in 1961.

Albion

Albion is a suburb of Melbourne located approximately 14 kilometres west of the Melbourne CBD, within the City of Brimbank local government area. It recorded a population of 4,334 at the 2021 census. The suburb is completely surrounded by other parts of Sunshine except to the west, where it borders Ardeer across Kororoit Creek. The area was originally known as Darlington before taking on the name Albion, reflecting the strong connection to British heritage in Melbourne's western suburbs during the 19th century.

The Albion Cats compete in the Western Football Netball League and call J.R. Parsons Reserve, Sunshine, home. For more information visit the official website, or follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
