Two Players, One Banner
When two Swans are marking the same milestone, our Two Player Banner celebrates both at once. Provide each player's name and guernsey number for a quality dual banner your whole club will treasure.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Our Team Banner option fits 3 to 6 players in a single banner. Set the top line - something like "South Barwon Swans - We Back Our Boys" - and let the banner capture the moment. Perfect for presentation nights, finals, and group milestones.

About South Barwon Football and Netball Club
Origins and Founding
The South Barwon Football and Netball Club, nicknamed the Swans, was founded in 1990 through the merger of the Barwon Football Club and the Belmont Football Club. The merger united two established Geelong-region clubs into a single combined entity, based in Belmont on the southern side of the Barwon River. The club takes its name from the Barwon River, a defining geographic feature of greater Geelong, and operates on Wadawurrung Country, which the club formally acknowledges. South Barwon competes in the Barwon Football Netball League (BFNL).
Club History
South Barwon made an immediate impact in the BFNL after forming in 1990, reaching a debut grand final appearance in 1998. The Swans then secured their maiden senior premiership in 2001, winning the decider against North Shore by 53 points. More recently, the club has remained competitive across all grades, with the 2025 season delivering Senior Women's and Under 16 Girls premierships - reflecting the club's strong female football development program. The club's motto, "We Fly Together," captures the spirit of unity across their football and netball sections.
Home Ground
The Swans play their home games at McDonald Reserve, located at 77-79 Reynolds Road, Belmont, VIC 3216. The reserve is the club's permanent home for both football and netball competition and serves as a community hub for match-day events, training, and social functions. McDonald Reserve sits within easy reach of Geelong's CBD and the wider Barwon region.
Community and Programs
South Barwon FNC fields senior men's and women's football teams, reserves, and a comprehensive netball program across multiple age groups. The club runs junior football in partnership with affiliated junior clubs in the Belmont and surrounding areas, providing a pathway from Auskick-age through to senior competition. The club's 2025 women's and girls' premiership success reflects years of investment in female football, making South Barwon one of the BFNL's leading clubs for women's participation. The club maintains active social media accounts and regularly engages its community through player development events and off-season programs.
Belmont
Belmont is a suburb located on the southern side of the Barwon River in Geelong, approximately 69 kilometres south-west of Melbourne's CBD. The suburb had a population of 14,997 at the 2021 census and forms part of the City of Greater Geelong local government area. Originally inhabited by the Wadawurrung people, Belmont developed through the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries as a residential suburb closely tied to Geelong's industrial and maritime economy, and today offers convenient access to Geelong's CBD, retail precincts, and the Surf Coast corridor.
The Swans compete in the Barwon Football Netball League and call McDonald Reserve home. Visit the club's website at southbarwonfnc.com.au, follow them on Facebook, or on Instagram.
Footy Banner Information
Material: All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using permanent inks which will not run, even if they get wet. They are fully recyclable.
How to Use: We recommend taping broomsticks or plastic pipe to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it. If you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through. There are instructions and images for how to cut these in the FAQ section below.
On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon! This is why we do not pre-cut them, and also so you can get photographs with your intact banner when it looks at it's best.
Tip: Some players choose to only cut one weak spot in their banner so it can be saved and displayed later by taping it back together on the back.Pro Tip: Cut the weak spot to one side of the mascot or team logo so it stays intact as well!
Return and Refund Policy
As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.
Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
