Alexandra Rebels Banners - Celebrate Every Rebels Milestone
From a player's first milestone to a grand final celebration in the Upper Goulburn Valley, FootyBanners.com makes it simple to create a custom banner that captures what it means to be a Rebel. Our banners are designed for the Alexandra community - players, families, and lifelong supporters who are proud to pull on the red and black.
Simple to Order
Choose from a Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final Banner to suit the occasion. For individual milestones, provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and achievement - for example, Ryan Clarke, #5, 100 Games. Banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper, built to handle any blustery central Victorian afternoon on the Alexandra sideline.
Two Players, One Banner
Two Rebels players hitting the same milestone on the same match day? Our Two Player Banner puts them both in the spotlight together. Both players must share the same milestone, and you'll need each player's name and guernsey number to place the order.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Rally the whole club with a Team Banner featuring 3 to 6 players. Add a powerful top-line message like "Rebels - Upper Goulburn Premiers" and make it a day the whole community celebrates. Perfect for grand finals, milestone rounds, and any occasion where the Rebels deserve the spotlight.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Whether it's the Alexandra clubrooms, your garage, or the games room at home - a Wall Keepsake Banner is the perfect way to honour a Rebels milestone.
Grand Final Banners
When the Alexandra Rebels line up for the grand final, make the banner a moment in itself. Grand Final Banners come in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with fully customised top and bottom text. Get in touch for design advice and we'll help you create something the Rebels will be proud to run through.
About Alexandra Football Netball Club
Origins and Founding
Alexandra Football Netball Club - known as the Rebels - is one of Victoria's oldest country football clubs, with records of the club's formation dating to 1872, and documented club history from 1884 onwards. Based in the township of Alexandra in the Upper Goulburn region of central Victoria, the Rebels have competed across multiple regional football associations throughout their history. The club played at the Alexandra Showgrounds as early as 1905, and was competing in the Alexandra-Yea Association by the 1920s, winning premierships in 1923 and 1925. The club subsequently spent decades in the Waranga Football Association (1927-1976) and the Central Goulburn Football League. The Rebels now compete in the Outer East Football Netball League (OEFNL).
Club History
Across more than 150 years of football, the Rebels have moved through several regional competitions reflecting the geographical complexity of Central Victorian football. The club has competed in the Waranga Football Association, Central Goulburn Football League, and several other regional bodies before eventually joining the Outer East Football Netball League. The club wears the red, white and black - a guernsey combination with deep historical roots at the club. The Rebels field senior men's and women's football teams and a netball program under the Alexandra Football Netball Club banner.
Home Ground
The Rebels play at the Alexandra Recreation Reserve, which has served as the club's primary home ground for the majority of its history. The reserve is a well-established community sporting facility in the heart of Alexandra township, hosting football, netball, and community events throughout the year. The town's recreational oval provides an important social hub for the community during the football season.
Community and Programs
The Alexandra Football Netball Club runs programs across senior football, women's football, and netball, providing pathways for players from junior to senior competition. The club is a central institution in the Alexandra community, connecting the town's farming and rural families with the broader network of country Victoria football. The Rebels' strong volunteer base and family-friendly culture have sustained the club through more than a century of competition.
Alexandra
Alexandra is a town in central Victoria located approximately 130 kilometres north-east of Melbourne in the Murrindindi Shire, within the Upper Goulburn River valley. With a population of around 3,500 people as of the 2021 Census, Alexandra is the commercial hub of the surrounding agricultural and timber region. The town sits at the junction of the Maroondah and Maroondah highways and is a gateway to the high country, Lake Eildon, and the broader Victorian Alps region.
The Rebels compete in the Outer East Football Netball League and call Alexandra home. Follow the club on Facebook and Instagram.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
