Boronia Hawks Banners - Take Flight on Game Day
Big milestones and grand final moments deserve a banner that does justice to the Hawks and the players who have earned it. FootyBanners.com creates custom banners made for Boronia, every time.
Simple to Order
We offer Single Player, Two Player, Team, and Grand Final banner options. To personalise your order, provide the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Nick Bailey, #14, 100 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner is built to handle a cold Melbourne winter morning in Boronia without any fuss.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Hawks reach the same milestone, a Two Player Banner is the ideal way to celebrate them both. Provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the shared milestone for a quality keepsake they will both treasure.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Showcase 3 to 6 players on a Team Banner and give the whole squad a run-through they will remember. A top-line message like "Go Hawks!" captures the spirit and drive of a club that competes with pride every week.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks that last for years. A Boronia Hawks keepsake banner looks great in the clubrooms, the garage, or the family games room.

About Boronia Hawks
Origins and Founding
The Boronia Football Club was officially founded in 1932, though a team representing Boronia had competed in the Scoresby Districts Football Association from 1930, and a combined Bayswater-Boronia team played in the same competition from 1927 to 1929. After the disruption of World War II, the club resumed competition and joined the Croydon-Ferntree Gully District League in the 1950s. In 1962, Boronia became one of the founding members of the Eastern Districts Football League (EDFL), which is now known as the Eastern Football League (EFL). The Boronia Junior Football Club was formed in 1972, originally known as the "Sparrow Hawks", and has fed generations of players through to the senior club.
Club History
Since the 1930s, the Boronia Hawks have built a proud premiership record across multiple divisions. The club won three A-Grade flags in the 1930s and another in 1949, followed by a 1959 premiership that broke a ten-year drought. After joining the EDFL in 1962, Boronia claimed the Division 2 premiership in 1969. The club's most memorable early season came in 1977, when all three grades - seniors, reserves, and under-18s - won Division 3 EFL premierships, a Triple Premiership feat not repeated until 2018.
The club won the Division 2 senior premiership in 1986, earning promotion to Division 1, where they competed for a decade. In 2000, the Hawks claimed another Division 2 premiership at Waverley Park, defeating Blackburn Football Club. Then in 2018, under the guidance of coaches Matthew Clark, Steve Teakel and Craig Brockley, Boronia achieved their second Triple Premiership - winning the seniors, reserves, and under-19s grand finals. The club was also named Division 3 Club of the Year that season.
Home Ground
The Boronia Hawks play their home games at Tormore Reserve in Boronia, in Melbourne's outer-eastern suburbs. The ground serves as the base for the senior, junior, and netball arms of the club. Tormore Reserve provides the community with shared oval facilities used by multiple age groups across the football and netball programs throughout the season.
Community and Programs
The Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club operates a full range of community programs. The Boronia Junior Football Club provides an age-group pathway from Auskick through to under-age competition. Netball was introduced to the club in 2014 when the EFL launched a Friday night netball competition, with the club winning the inaugural Division 1 netball premiership that year and the 2017 Premier Division title. Women's football was added in 2017, coached initially by club legend Ray Lacey. The club's policy of inclusiveness has made it a true multi-sport community hub for Boronia families.
Boronia
Boronia is a suburb in Melbourne's outer-eastern foothills, approximately 30 kilometres east of the CBD in the City of Knox. The area is characterised by its proximity to the Dandenong Ranges, offering a semi-rural feel while remaining well-connected to metropolitan Melbourne. With a population of around 16,000 residents, Boronia has a strong community identity, and local sporting clubs like the Hawks have been central to that identity for nearly a century.
The Hawks compete in the EFL and call Tormore Reserve, Boronia, home. Visit the club website for news and fixtures, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for match day updates and club news.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
