Brunswick Dragons Banners - Roar Loud for Every Milestone

Whether it's a milestone match, a finals campaign, or a memorable season, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners that celebrate everything that makes the Dragons special. Each banner is personalised with the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone, giving every Brunswick footballer a keepsake to be proud of.

Simple to Order

Choose from a Single Player Banner, Two Player Banner, Team Banner, or Grand Final Banner - then provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone (for example, Dan Ricci, #9, 200 Games). All banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, built to withstand a bitter Melbourne winter on the sidelines in Brunswick.

Two Players, One Banner

Two Dragons sharing the same milestone in the same game? A Two Player Banner brings both names and guernsey numbers together in one quality banner - a moment the whole club will celebrate.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

A Team Banner features 3 to 6 players and is perfect for group milestones or premiership runs. Add a rallying top-line message like "Let's Go Dragons!" and let FootyBanners.com create the centrepiece for your club's big occasion.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks - ideal for the clubrooms, games room, or garage. A lasting tribute to every Dragons player and their contribution to the club.

Grand Final Banners

Measuring 4.5m or 5.5m, Grand Final Banners feature fully customised top and bottom text for the Dragons' biggest day. Contact FootyBanners.com for personalised design advice for Brunswick Dragons Football Club's next grand final appearance.

About Brunswick Dragons Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Brunswick Dragons Junior Football Club is a community Australian rules football club based in Brunswick, an inner-northern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. The Dragons were founded in 2010 as a single-team club and are affiliated with the Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL) and now the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL). The junior club is affiliated with Brunswick NOBSPC (formerly North Old Boys/St Pat's), which traces its own history back to 1963 when past pupils of St Joseph's Christian Brothers College in North Melbourne founded the North Old Boys Amateur Football Club.

The senior men's club at Brunswick has a broader connection to the original Brunswick Football Club, which played in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) from 1897 until 1991. The historic home ground, A.G. Gillon Oval, was named in 1976 in honour of Alexander George Gillon, the longest-serving president of the VFA and a former Mayor of Brunswick.

Club History

From a single team in 2010, the Brunswick Dragons JFC grew rapidly to field 18 teams across boys, girls, and mixed competition from Under-8s to Colts level, with over 300 players. The Dragons have claimed six premierships: back-to-back Under-12 and Under-13 flags in 2012 and 2013, a Colts premiership in 2019, two further flags in 2021 (Under-13 and Under-16), and a Division 1 Girls premiership in 2022 - the club's first women's flag. That 2012-13 group included Francis Evans, who went on to play with Geelong (2021-2022) and Port Adelaide (2023). Three-time YJFL Best and Fairest winner Daniel Mott also came through the club in those early years.

Home Ground

The Brunswick Dragons play their home games at A.G. Gillon Oval, located at 133A Hope Street, Brunswick. The ground has hosted Australian rules football since the late 1800s and is one of the historically significant suburban ovals in Melbourne's inner north. The oval is shared with the affiliated senior men's and women's programs under the broader Brunswick Football Club umbrella.

Community and Programs

Brunswick JFC operates a comprehensive junior program spanning Under-8s through to Colts, offering both boys and girls pathways. The club is a volunteer-run organisation and prides itself on providing a fun, inclusive environment for young players in the local community. The junior club is part of the broader One Club vision alongside Brunswick NOBSPC and the Brunswick Renegades Women's AFL club, creating a full pathway from junior development through to senior competition.

Brunswick

Brunswick is an inner-city suburb of Melbourne, located approximately 5 kilometres north of the Melbourne CBD within the City of Merri-bek local government area. The suburb recorded a population of 24,896 at the 2021 census and covers 5.2 square kilometres. Traditionally a working-class area, Brunswick is now known as a culturally diverse and creative precinct, recognised for its music scene, street art, and community-oriented character along Sydney Road.

The Dragons are affiliated with the Northern Football Netball League and call A.G. Gillon Oval in Brunswick home. Visit the club's website at brunswickjfc.org.au, follow them on Facebook, or find them on Instagram.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy
