About Edithvale Aspendale Eagles
Origins and Founding
The Edithvale Aspendale Football Netball Club was formed through the merger of the Edithvale Football Club and the Aspendale Football Club. The Edithvale club's roots trace back to 1921, and following the merger the combined club became one of the strongest sides in bayside Melbourne, eventually joining the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League (MPFNL) at its formation in 1987.

Club History
The Eagles have won seven MPFNL senior premierships, making them one of the league's most decorated clubs. Their grand final victories came in 1987, 1989, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2013 and 2024. The 1999 and 2000 back-to-back premierships established the club as a powerhouse of the competition during that era, with the 2000 grand final producing a dominant victory over Mornington. The club bounced back to claim its most recent flag in 2024, capping a strong run of seasons and demonstrating sustained excellence across generations of players. In 2025 the club also claimed B Grade and C Grade premierships.

Home Ground
The Eagles play their home games at Regents Park in Aspendale, a well-established sporting precinct on the bayside foreshore of Melbourne. The club also runs a strong netball program from the same facilities, with the combined football and netball operations making the EAFNC a genuine all-round community club.

Community and Programs
The EAFNC fields senior men's and women's teams across multiple grades, as well as junior and youth football and netball competitions. The club maintains an active presence across all age groups in the Edithvale, Aspendale, Mordialloc and Mentone communities. Its strong community profile has been recognised through consistent senior competition success and a growing junior pathway that feeds talent into the senior grades.

Aspendale
Aspendale is a bayside suburb of Melbourne in the City of Kingston, located approximately 27 kilometres south-east of the Melbourne CBD. The suburb is known for its popular beach and foreshore parks, proximity to Edithvale Wetlands, and family-friendly streetscapes. The area is bordered by Edithvale to the south, Mentone to the north and Chelsea to the east, all communities served by the Eagles' football and netball programs.
