Edwardstown Football Banners - Marking Every Milestone for a Proud Adelaide Club
FootyBanners.com is here to help the Edwardstown Football Club celebrate the players who have contributed so much to their community. From first milestone to long-time club legend, our custom banners are a fitting tribute to every achievement.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banners. Provide the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Paul Doherty, #8, 150 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner stands up to every South Australian match day with ease.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Edwardstown players reach the same milestone in the same game, our Two Player banner celebrates them both in one quality keepsake. Provide both names and guernsey numbers and let us create something the club and both families will be proud to display.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Our Team Banner option lets you honour three to six players at once - perfect for a milestone round or an end-of-season presentation. Add a personalised top-line message like "Edwardstown Football Club - Celebrating Our Finest" and finish with a tagline that reflects what the club means to its community.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A lasting way to showcase any Edwardstown player's achievement - in the clubrooms, the garage, or a proud supporter's games room.
Grand Final Banners
For the Edwardstown Football Club's biggest game of the season, our 4.5m and 5.5m Grand Final banners are fully customisable with your choice of top and bottom text. Get in touch for design advice and let's make sure Edwardstown's run-through banner is one to remember.
About Edwardstown Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Edwardstown Football Club was founded in 1919 in the inner southern-western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. In 1938, the club merged with the Black Forest Football Club from the Adelaide and Suburban Football Association, retaining the Edwardstown name. For much of the first six decades of its history, the club competed in the Glenelg-South Adelaide District Football League (previously known as the Glenelg-South-West District Football Association and the Mid-Southern Football Association), with two seasons spent in the South Australian National Football League in the 1930s.
Club History
Known as the Towns, Edwardstown FC has an outstanding premiership record. The club claimed eight A-Grade flags in the Glenelg District Football Association between 1932 and 1949, then four more in the renamed Glenelg-South-West District Football Association (1952, 1960, 1962, 1966) and two in the Glenelg-South Adelaide Football Association (1973, 1977). A golden run in the South Australian Football Association (SAFA) followed, with four consecutive-era premierships in 1980, 1982, 1987, and 1988. The club's 2004 SAAFL Division 2 flag rounded out a remarkable total of 19 A-Grade premierships. The Towns currently compete in Division 3 of the Adelaide Footy League, with junior teams participating in the SANFL Juniors competition.
Home Ground
The Towns play at Edwardstown Oval in South Plympton, an inner suburb neighbouring Edwardstown. The ground has served as the club's base for generations and is a recognised community sporting facility in Adelaide's inner south-west. Edwardstown Oval hosts both senior and junior matches and provides clubrooms for the club's activities.
Community and Programs
Edwardstown FC fields senior men's teams in the Adelaide Footy League and runs junior teams in the SANFL Juniors competition, providing a pathway from youth football through to senior level. The club's long history in the inner Adelaide community reflects its importance as a neighbourhood institution, with the club song "Step to the Rear" a part of local sporting culture since the club's earliest decades.
Edwardstown
Edwardstown is an inner southern-western suburb of Adelaide, located approximately 6 kilometres south-west of the CBD in the City of Marion. The suburb recorded a population of 4,514 at the 2021 census. Known for its residential character and proximity to Adelaide's inner south, Edwardstown borders suburbs including Plympton, South Plympton, and Clarence Park. The area's proximity to Adelaide's beaches and the central business district makes it a well-connected part of the metropolitan area.
The Towns compete in the Adelaide Footy League and call Edwardstown Oval home. Visit the club website for more information, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.
Footy Banner Information
All Footy Banners are printed on 1.6 Metre high coated paper using solvent inks which will not run, even if they get wet.
We recommend taping broomsticks to the ends of the banner to hold it flat whilst the player runs through it. if you cut vertical slits in the banner in the centre, it creates a weak spot where it will break and look best when run through.
On a windy day, cut smaller vertical slits in the Footy Banner so if the wind catches it, it doesn't rip too soon!
Return and Refund Policy
As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.
Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
