Epping Pingers Banners - Over a Century of Proud Football History

FootyBanners.com creates custom banners for the Epping Football Netball Club that honour every milestone, from a player's debut at Epping Recreation Reserve to landmark service that spans a career the whole community celebrates.

Simple to Order

We produce Single Player, Two Player, Team, and Grand Final Banners. Just provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone. All banners use permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper - built to last through a crisp Melbourne morning at Epping Recreation Reserve.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Pingers share the same milestone on the same game day, our Two Player Banner puts both on a single quality keepsake. Provide both names and guernsey numbers and we'll bring the occasion to life.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

The Team Banner option covers 3 to 6 players in one design. Add a top-line message like "Epping Pingers - Northern League Champions" and let FootyBanners.com celebrate the whole squad's achievement together.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium, and Large, Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Hang yours in the Pingers clubrooms, garage, or games room as a permanent reminder of a proud career at the Epping FNC.

Grand Final Banners

Grand Final Banners come in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with fully customisable top and bottom text. Contact us for design advice when the Epping Football Netball Club is heading to the biggest match of the season.

About Epping Football Netball Club

Origins and Founding

The Epping Football Netball Club, known as the Pingers, was formed in 1895 and began playing social matches before joining the Whittlesea and District Football Association in 1904. In 1906, Epping was a foundation member of the Bourke-Evelyn Football Association, where the club remained until the league folded in 1932, winning 10 premierships along the way. In 1933, Epping joined the Diamond Valley Football League (now the Northern Football Netball League), winning the premiership in their very first season - a remarkable debut in the new competition.

Club History

After their 1933 debut premiership, the Pingers went on to win a further five flags in the Diamond Valley Football League before the competition split into divisions in 1981. Epping has since won two Division Two premierships, including the 2012 title - won after losing just once all season - which returned the club to Division One in 2013. The club competed in Division One from 1991 until 2007 before a period of fluctuation between divisions. Notable alumni who progressed to VFL/AFL include Jack Petruccelle (West Coast Eagles), Brent Heaver (Melbourne, Carlton and Port Adelaide), Ricky Dyson (Essendon), and Zak Johnson (Essendon). Epping also runs a strong junior affiliate program fielding teams from Under 9s to Under 15s, plus Auskick and Youth Girls.

Home Ground

The Pingers play at Epping Recreation Reserve in Epping. The ground has served as the club's home base for many decades and is a well-established venue for NFNL competition. The Reserve is centrally located within the suburb and provides facilities for both the football and netball programs the club operates.

Community and Programs

Epping Football Netball Club fields both football and netball teams, embracing a broader community role that extends well beyond just senior men's competition. The club's junior affiliate provides a development pathway for young players in the Epping area, and the Auskick program introduces the youngest members of the community to Australian rules football. The club's more than 130 years of continuous involvement in local football make it one of the longest-established community sporting clubs in Melbourne's northern growth corridor.

Epping

Epping is a suburb of Melbourne located 18 kilometres north of the CBD in the City of Whittlesea local government area. It recorded a population of 33,489 at the 2021 census, reflecting its status as one of Melbourne's larger outer northern suburbs. The area is bounded by Mill Park and Lalor to the south, Somerton to the west, and South Morang to the east. Epping has grown significantly as a residential hub and is home to Pacific Epping, a major retail centre on Cooper Street.

The Pingers compete in the NFNL and call Epping Recreation Reserve home. Visit the club website, follow them on Facebook, or find them on Instagram.

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
