Heathcote Saints Banners - Celebrating Every Saints Milestone
Whether it's a junior Sainter's first milestone or a senior player reaching a landmark game, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners that honour every Heathcote Saints achievement. Every banner is personalised for the Saints, making each occasion as memorable as it deserves to be.
Simple to Order
Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options. Provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Nathan Clarke, #2, 100 Games. Heathcote Saints banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, made to withstand the brisk Victorian country afternoon at the Heathcote Football Ground.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Saints reach the same milestone in the same game, our Two Player banner brings both celebrations together in one quality keepsake. Supply each player's name, guernsey number, and the shared milestone and we'll take care of the rest.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Our Team Banner option fits 3 to 6 players and is perfect for group milestones or a season worth celebrating. A top-line message like "Heathcote Saints - Premiers" captures the moment perfectly. Go the Sainters!
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Hang your Saints banner in the clubrooms, garage, or games room as a lasting reminder of a proud Heathcote Saints moment.

About Heathcote Saints
Origins and Founding
The Heathcote Football and Netball Club - known as the Saints - was formed in 1967 when Heathcote North and Heathcote Rovers merged. The merged club combined the red and white of Heathcote North with the black and white of the Rovers, resulting in the current red, white and black. Both predecessor clubs had outstanding records: North won eight HDFL premierships including five in a row from 1955 to 1959, while Rovers claimed nine flags. Football has been played in Heathcote since at least 1905, when the original Heathcote Football Club was a founding member of the Heathcote District Football Association, as detailed in the Heathcote FC Wikipedia article.
Club History
Since their formation in 1967, the Saints have appeared in 16 HDFL grand finals and won seven premierships: 1970, 1972, 1982, 1989, 1992, 2009 and 2010. The 2009 premiership ended a 17-year drought, won by four points over Colbinabbin in a tightly fought grand final. The 2010 season was one of the greatest in the club's history - the Saints were undefeated across all 18 games (16 home-and-away plus two finals), winning back-to-back premierships for the first time. The 2025 season saw the Saints finish 8th on the home-and-away ladder and miss the finals.
Home Ground
The Saints play their home games at Pigeon Park in Heathcote. The ground has been the Saints' home throughout their history in the HDFL and serves as the venue for both football and netball activities. Pigeon Park is centrally located in Heathcote and is one of the focal points of the community's sporting life in the region.
Community and Programs
The Heathcote Football and Netball Club runs football and netball programs at multiple levels, providing year-round community sporting activity in the Heathcote area. The combined football and netball structure means the club serves a wide cross-section of the Heathcote community, from junior players through to senior men and women. The HDFL, in which the Saints compete, brings together clubs from the central Victorian goldfields region, fostering strong local rivalries and community connections across the broader Bendigo area.
Heathcote
Heathcote is a town in central Victoria, located 110 kilometres north of Melbourne and 47 kilometres south-east of Bendigo, within the City of Greater Bendigo local government area. According to the Heathcote Wikipedia article, the town recorded a population of 2,962 at the 2021 census. Heathcote is well known as the centre of the Heathcote wine region, recognised for its shiraz and other red varieties grown on ancient Cambrian soils. The town sits on the Northern Highway and is a popular destination for visitors from Melbourne and Bendigo seeking wine, food and country hospitality.
The Saints compete in the Heathcote District Football League (HDFL) and call Pigeon Park, Heathcote home. Follow the club on Facebook or Instagram for news, results and club updates.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
