Hoppers Crossing Warriors Banners - Western Suburbs Footy Pride
When a Warriors player reaches a milestone the whole club wants to mark, FootyBanners.com has you covered. Create a fully personalised banner for your Hoppers Crossing Warriors player and give game day the celebration it deserves.
Simple to Order
Select your banner type - Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final - then provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and milestone, for example: Dean Vitale, #8, 150 Games. Banners are made with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, built to hold up on a cold and windy Melbourne winter afternoon out west.
Two Players, One Banner
When two Warriors players are celebrating the same milestone in the same game, a Two Player Banner brings both achievements together in one great keepsake. Just supply both names, guernsey numbers, and the milestone - and we'll take care of the rest.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
When 3 to 6 players are all hitting milestones in the one round, a Team Banner unites them all in a single banner worth holding on to. Add all the player details and a customised top-line message like "Hoppers Crossing Warriors - Pride of the West" for a banner the whole club will remember.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, Wall Keepsake Banners are produced on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks that endure. Perfect for the Warriors' clubrooms, the garage, or anywhere else that's special to your Warriors hero.
Grand Final Banners
Available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with fully customised top and bottom text, Grand Final Banners give the Hoppers Crossing Warriors Football Club the on-field entrance they deserve on the season's biggest day. Contact us for personalised design advice.
About Hoppers Crossing Warriors
Origins and Founding
The Hoppers Crossing Football Club was founded in 1972, initially fielding a senior team in the Western Suburbs Football League. The club made the grand final in 1981 and 1987 without securing the flag. After the Western Suburbs FL ceased, the club joined what was then the Footscray and District Football League in 1988, which has since evolved into the Western Region Football League (WRFL), now known as the Western Football Netball League.
Club History
After winning the Division 2 premiership in 1992, the Warriors were promoted to Division 1 where they have remained ever since. Senior Division 1 premierships came in 2002, 2004 and most recently in 2024, when the Warriors defeated local rivals Werribee Districts in a celebrated upset. The club has also been runners-up in Division 1 in 2001, 2006, 2016 and 2018. The reserves side has been particularly strong, claiming Division 1 flags in 2006, 2007, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Several notable players developed at Hoppers Crossing before progressing to the AFL, including Brad Johnson, who played 364 games for the Western Bulldogs and remains one of the VFL/AFL's most decorated veterans; Ryan O'Keefe, who played 263 games for the Sydney Swans including the 2005 AFL premiership; Nigel Kellett (Western Bulldogs); Daniel Ward (Melbourne); and Judson Clarke (Richmond).
Home Ground
The Warriors play their home games at Hogans Road Reserve Oval in Hoppers Crossing. The ground has been the club's home for many years and is a well-used community sporting facility in the City of Wyndham's rapidly growing western corridor.
Community and Programs
The Hoppers Crossing Football Club fields senior men's teams across multiple grades in the WFNL Division 1 competition. The club also operates a junior football program, providing a pathway for young players in the Hoppers Crossing and surrounding Wyndham area. The club has benefited from strong community support as the Wyndham area has grown significantly in recent decades, becoming one of Melbourne's most rapidly expanding outer suburbs.
Hoppers Crossing
Hoppers Crossing is a suburb in the City of Wyndham, located approximately 25 kilometres south-west of Melbourne's CBD. The area developed rapidly from the 1970s onward as a major residential growth corridor and is one of Victoria's most populous outer suburbs, with a population exceeding 40,000. The suburb is named after an early settler family and is served by the Werribee railway line. Wyndham is one of Australia's fastest-growing local government areas.
The Warriors compete in the Western Football Netball League Division 1 and call Hogans Road Reserve Oval home. Visit the club website for more information, follow them on Facebook, and follow them on Instagram for news and match day updates.

-
-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
