Ivanhoe Junior Football Banners - Celebrate Every Junior Milestone
From first game jitters to 50-game celebrations, FootyBanners.com makes it simple to create a custom junior banner that the whole Ivanhoe community will love. A banner your young footballer will treasure for life - and one the club will be proud to run through.
Simple to Order
Choose from a Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final Banner to suit the occasion. For individual milestones, simply provide the player's name, surname, guernsey number, and achievement - for example, Sam Davies, #6, 50 Games. Banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty, weatherproof paper - tough enough for any blustery Melbourne winter afternoon on the Ivanhoe sideline.
Two Players, One Banner
Two players reaching the same milestone on the same match day? Our Two Player Banner lets you celebrate them both on one banner. Both players must share the same milestone, and you'll need each player's name and guernsey number. A great way to double the excitement on a big day for the club.
Team Banners for Group Celebrations
Celebrate the whole junior squad with a Team Banner featuring 3 to 6 players. Add a top-line message like "Ivanhoe Juniors - Northern Champions" and make the season's standout moments permanent. Ideal for end-of-season functions and grand final celebrations.
Wall Keepsake Banners
Available in Small, Medium, and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A perfect keepsake for a young Ivanhoe player's bedroom wall, the family games room, or the clubrooms at Ivanhoe.
Grand Final Banners
When the Ivanhoe juniors make it to the big day, make sure the banner is ready to match the moment. Grand Final Banners are available in 4.5m and 5.5m sizes with fully customised top and bottom text. Contact us for design advice and we'll help you create something truly special.
About Ivanhoe Junior Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Ivanhoe Junior Football Club (IJFC) was officially formed on 5 October 1971, growing out of the senior Ivanhoe Amateur Football Club's junior development program, which had been running since 1966. The club registered its first season in the Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL) in 1972, initially signing 40 players at a clinic at Chelsworth Park. By May 1972, registered players had grown to 152, reflecting the strong demand for junior football in the Ivanhoe community. The club has operated as one of the most successful junior clubs in the YJFL ever since.
Club History
Over more than five decades in the YJFL, the Ivanhoe Junior Football Club has developed into one of the competition's flagship clubs. The IJFC exists in close connection with the senior Ivanhoe Football Club, which itself has a history stretching back to 1910. The senior club joined the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL) in 2024, strengthening the pathway for IJFC juniors progressing through to senior competition. The IJFC runs age groups from Under 8s through to Colts and welcomes both boys and girls.
Home Ground
The Ivanhoe Junior Football Club is based at Chelsworth Park in Ivanhoe. The ground is nestled within a well-maintained recreational reserve and has long been the training and match venue for IJFC teams. The park is situated close to the Yarra River and forms a central part of the Ivanhoe community's sporting landscape.
Community and Programs
The IJFC places a strong emphasis on fun, inclusion, and community. The club offers both Auskick (ages 4 to 12) and junior football programs (ages 7 to 18), welcoming players of all abilities. The club's volunteer-driven culture has been central to its longevity and success, with generations of Ivanhoe families passing through its ranks. The IJFC works closely with the senior Ivanhoe Football Club to provide a connected football pathway for players in the area.
Ivanhoe
Ivanhoe is a suburb of Melbourne located 9 kilometres northeast of the CBD in the City of Banyule local government area. It recorded a population of 13,374 at the 2021 census. The suburb is known for its leafy streetscapes, proximity to the Yarra River, and strong community character. Chelsworth Park, home to the IJFC, sits within this green corridor and has been a focal point for local sport and recreation for generations.
The IJFC competes in the YJFL and calls Chelsworth Park home. Visit the club website or find them on Instagram.

-
Creating the Break-Through Slits
-
Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.
-
Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.
-
💡 Tips & Tricks
-
Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.
-
Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.
