Two Players, One Banner

Two Brookers players celebrating the same milestone in the same game? A Two Player Banner is the perfect way to honour both players side by side. Provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the game milestone and we'll take care of the rest.

About Kersbrook Brookers

Origins and Founding

The Kersbrook Football Club, known as "The Brooks" or "The Brookers," has a history stretching back to before World War I. Gurnseys in purple and white are recorded from that earliest era, with the familiar chocolate and blue playing strip introduced during the 1920s. The club competed for many years in the Torrens Valley Football Association before joining the Hills Football League. Their first senior premiership came in 1957 when they defeated Mount Torrens 14.14 (98) to zero in the Torrens Valley association grand final.

Club History

Since moving to the Hills Football League, the Brookers have accumulated a strong premiership record. A grade flags came in 1972 (defeating Birdwood), 1974, 1986, 1993, 1997, 2008, 2009, 2012 and 2015. The 2015 season was the club's most celebrated, when the A grade, B grade and Under 17s all won their respective grand finals on the same day, and both A grade and B grade netball sides also claimed titles. The club currently competes in Hills Football League Division 2.

Notable alumni with SANFL and AFL careers include Brett James, who played 234 games for Norwood, served as captain for five seasons and won best-and-fairest honours three times; and Roger James, who tallied 147 AFL games for Port Adelaide (including the 2004 AFL premiership) and 76 SANFL games for Norwood. Roger and Brett shared the 1997 SANFL premiership with Norwood and Roger was a member of the SANFL 1995 Team of the Year.

Home Ground

The Brookers play their home games in Kersbrook, a township approximately 40 kilometres north-east of Adelaide in the Adelaide Hills Council area. The ground is a community focal point for the small township and surrounding rural properties, hosting football, netball and community events throughout the season.

Community and Programs

The Kersbrook Football Club runs senior men's football and an active netball program. The club is renowned for its multi-generational family connections, with surnames like James, MacDonald and Pearce spanning decades of club history. The club maintains strong bonds with the surrounding Hills farming community and runs an inclusive environment that draws players from across the Adelaide Hills region.

Kersbrook

Kersbrook, formerly known as Maidstone, is a small township approximately 40 kilometres north-east of Adelaide in the South Mount Lofty Ranges. Located in the Adelaide Hills Council area, the town sits in open farming country with populations in the low hundreds. The area is known for its rural character, proximity to the Barossa Valley and the sweeping views across the ranges. It is one of the smaller communities supporting a football and netball club in the Hills Football League.

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
