About Melton South Junior Girls Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Melton South Junior Football Netball Club was established in 1975 and has been a cornerstone of junior sport in Melton South for five decades. Known as the Panthers, the club provides junior football and netball programs for boys and girls across a range of age groups and is one of the most active junior sporting clubs in Melbourne's western growth corridor. The Junior Girls football program represents the club's commitment to growing the women's game at grassroots level.

Club History
Since its formation in 1975, the Melton South Junior FNC has grown steadily alongside the rapid residential expansion of the Melton area. The club's core philosophy centres on player development, sportsmanship, and building a lifelong love of the game rather than a "win at all costs" approach. In recent years, the Junior Girls program has expanded significantly as girls' football has grown across AFL Victoria junior competitions, giving young women in Melton South a pathway through junior representative football.

Home Ground
The Panthers play their home games at Melton Recreation Reserve on Reserve Road, Melton VIC 3337. The reserve is a multi-sport facility situated in the heart of the Melton community, providing quality playing surfaces and club facilities for both football and netball throughout the season.

Community and Programs
The Melton South Junior FNC fields football and netball teams from Auskick introduction programs through to Under-18 competition levels. The club actively promotes girls' and women's participation in sport and runs equal pathways for junior boys and girls.
