About Narre North Foxes Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Narre North Foxes Football Club was founded in 1996 as a family-oriented junior Australian rules football club serving the Narre Warren North community. From its early years, the club built a reputation for strong community values and a focus on player development, growing steadily as the surrounding suburb expanded. The club fields teams from under-8s through to under-18.5 Girls, providing a complete junior football pathway for boys and girls in the area.
Club History
The Foxes compete in the South East Juniors (SEJ) and AFL South East competitions. A strong 2009 season saw the club claim three premierships in a single year - the under-13 and under-14 Premier Division titles, as well as the under-10 White Division flag - demonstrating depth across age groups. In March 2026, the Foxes made Victorian football history by becoming the first junior football club in the state to provide free period products to players and spectators, reflecting the club's commitment to inclusion and progressive community leadership.
Home Ground
The Foxes play and train at Narre Warren North Recreation Reserve, located at 209-219 Belgrave-Hallam Road, Narre Warren North. The facility features two floodlit ovals and modern clubrooms, allowing for evening training and functions throughout the season. The reserve serves as the sporting and social hub for the local community, hosting junior footy across multiple age groups each weekend.
Community and Programs
The Narre North Foxes actively support an Auskick program as a feeder pathway, giving children their first introduction to Australian football before transitioning into the junior competition. The club is known for being welcoming and inclusive, with programs available for girls and mixed-gender age groups alongside the traditional boys divisions. Volunteer engagement is strong within the club, with parents and community members contributing to training, administration, and events.
