About Noradjuha Quantong Football Netball Club
Origins and Founding
Noradjuha Quantong Football Netball Club, known as the Bombers, was formed in 1997 through the amalgamation of two neighbouring Wimmera clubs - Noradjuha and Quantong. Noradjuha had competed in the Wimmera Football League from the early 1900s through to 1996, winning one premiership along the way, while Quantong was a founding member of the Horsham District Football League in 1934. The two clubs merged to create a stronger combined entity based at Quantong Recreation Reserve, the home ground of the new Bombers.
 
Club History
Since forming, Noradjuha Quantong has established itself as one of the most competitive clubs in the Horsham District Football Netball League (HDFNL). The Bombers reached the senior grand final in 2019 and again in 2025, going down to Harrow Balmoral on both occasions in closely fought contests. The reserves side has also been a strong performer, claiming the HDFNL Reserves premiership in 2025 with a dominant victory over Pimpinio. In 2021, Noradjuha Quantong finished top of the HDFNL senior ladder but did not contest a grand final due to the COVID-19 competition format that year. The club has consistently been one of the top two or three teams in the competition in recent seasons.
 
Home Ground
The Bombers call Quantong Recreation Reserve in Quantong home, playing all their senior matches in the Horsham District competition on this country ground in the heart of the Wimmera. The reserve hosts both football and netball, with club facilities catering for players, officials and supporters across all grades. The club's Auskick and Net Set Go programs also run at Quantong, bringing the next generation of Bombers through from an early age.
 
Community and Programs
NQFNC fields four grades of football from Under 14s through to seniors, along with seven netball sides spanning from 13 and under through to A Grade. The club is entirely volunteer-run and has built a strong reputation as one of the largest junior participation hubs in the Wimmera. In addition to its football and netball programs, the club runs popular Auskick and Net Set Go programs each season and is deeply embedded in the social fabric of the Noradjuha and Quantong communities.
 
Quantong
Quantong is a small rural locality in Victoria's Wimmera region, situated approximately 15 kilometres west of Horsham. With a population of around 354 residents, it is a tight-knit farming community established as an irrigation colony in 1892. The Wimmera region is renowned for its wide plains, agricultural production and strong country football culture, with HDFNL clubs drawing support from across the district each weekend.
