About North Ringwood Football Club

Origins and Founding

North Ringwood Football Club was founded in 1962 as the Ringwood Catholic Rovers Football Club, formed by a group of ex-Aquinas College students seeking somewhere to play after finishing school. The club was a founding member of the Eastern District Football League. In December 1964, the club renamed itself Ringwood Rovers Football Club, then in September 1966 adopted the current North Ringwood Football Club name. The Saints nickname has become synonymous with community football in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs over more than six decades.

Club History

North Ringwood competes in Division 1 of the Eastern Football League (EFL), one of Victoria's strongest community competitions. The Saints have won five EFL premierships: 1978, 1989, 1999, 2012, and 2014. The 2014 flag was celebrated as a milestone moment for the club. North Ringwood has produced a strong list of VFL and AFL alumni, including Paul Salmon (Essendon and Hawthorn), Nick Malceski (Sydney Swans and Gold Coast Suns), David Wirrpanda (West Coast Eagles), and Dean Bailey (Essendon), who later became senior coach of the Melbourne Football Club.

Home Ground

The Saints play at Quambee Reserve in Ringwood North, with training facilities also available at North Ringwood Reserve. Quambee Reserve serves as the primary match day venue, providing the club with a home ground in the leafy residential heart of Melbourne's Maroondah area. The ground is well established within the community and hosts games across the senior men's, women's, under-19s, and junior programs.

Community and Programs

North Ringwood provides access to football for all, with programs spanning Senior Men's, Women's, Under-19s, and Junior levels. The club has a strong junior association in the North Ringwood Junior Football Club, which feeds players through the pathway to senior level. The Saints take pride in their community connections, with hundreds of players and families involved at the club each season.

Ringwood North

Ringwood North is a leafy residential suburb in Melbourne's City of Maroondah, located approximately 25 kilometres east of the CBD. With a population of 9,964 at the 2021 Census, the suburb is known for its family-friendly character, tree-lined streets, and proximity to the Dandenong Ranges. It sits adjacent to Ringwood, which is a major transport hub and shopping destination for Melbourne's eastern corridor.

The Saints compete in the Eastern Football League and call Quambee Reserve home. For more information, visit the North Ringwood Football Club website, find them on Facebook, or follow them on Instagram.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
