Romsey Redbacks Junior Banners - Country Footy Pride

Out in the Macedon Ranges, junior footy is at the heart of the community - and at FootyBanners.com, we love helping clubs like the Romsey Redbacks Juniors celebrate every milestone. Order a custom banner and make your player's special day one to remember.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team or Grand Final banner styles. Provide the player's name, guernsey number and milestone - for example, Max Thompson, #12, 50 Games. All banners are printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper that stands up to a crisp Romsey morning at the oval.

Two Players, One Banner

If two junior Redbacks are hitting the same milestone, our Two Player banner celebrates both together on one quality banner. Provide both players' names and guernsey numbers and we'll do the rest.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Our Team Banner option covers 3 to 6 players in a single banner. Add a top-line message like "Go Junior Redbacks!" and get the whole club on its feet for the run-through.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Available in Small, Medium and Large, our Wall Keepsake Banners are produced on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. Hang them proudly in the Romsey clubrooms, home garage or games room as a lasting tribute to every junior milestone.

Grand Final Banners

Our 4.5m and 5.5m Grand Final banners are fully customised with top and bottom messaging. If the Romsey Redbacks Junior Football Club is heading into a big final, get in touch early and we will design a banner that makes the moment count.

About Romsey Redbacks Junior Football Club

Origins and Founding

The Romsey Junior Football Netball Club carries the proud heritage of the Romsey Football Netball Club, which was established in 1874 - making it one of the oldest football clubs in regional Victoria and one that celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2024. The Redbacks nickname was adopted from the senior club, which was formerly known as the Robins before transitioning to the Redbacks identity. The junior club exists to provide structured football and netball pathways for young people in the Romsey community and surrounding Macedon Ranges townships, feeding players into the senior Romsey FNC ranks in the Riddell District Football Netball League.

Club History

The senior Romsey club has been one of the most decorated in the Riddell District Football League's history, claiming over 22 senior premierships from as early as 1891 through to 2003, 2011, 2014 and 2015. The club began competing in the Riddell District Football League full-time from 2008. The junior club operates under the same Redbacks banner and draws from a wide catchment across the Macedon Ranges region, including players from Lancefield, Kilmore, Broadford and surrounding towns. The junior program has grown significantly alongside the broader development of the Romsey township as a regional hub in the Macedon Ranges area.

Home Ground

The Romsey Junior Football Netball Club plays home matches at Romsey Park in Romsey, Victoria - the same ground used by the senior Redbacks. Romsey Park is located in the centre of town and has served as the home of Romsey football since the early years of the club. The ground features a main oval, grandstand facilities and club rooms that cater to both football and netball programs across all age groups.

Community and Programs

The Romsey JFNC fields teams across all junior age groups for both football and netball, with an emphasis on providing safe, inclusive and fun competition for young players. The club acknowledges the Dja Dja Wurrung and Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners of the land on which they play. The junior program works closely with local primary schools in Romsey to promote Auskick and junior football participation, providing a clear pathway from first kick to senior football. Families from across the Macedon Ranges area choose the Redbacks as their club of choice for junior sport.

Romsey

Romsey is a historic town in the Shire of Macedon Ranges, located approximately 61 kilometres north of Melbourne's CBD. The town has a population of around 4,000 people and serves as one of the main service centres in the Macedon Ranges region. Romsey is known for its historic streetscape, proximity to wine regions, and strong community sporting culture. The Calder Freeway and the Lancefield-Kilmore Road connect Romsey to Melbourne and the broader region, making it accessible to the many families who travel for junior sport on weekends.

The Redbacks Juniors compete in the Riddell District Football Netball League and call Romsey Park home. Follow them on Facebook for the latest news, results and registration information.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
