Wallan Junior Magpies Banners - Every Milestone Deserves a Banner

From first-season debuts to milestone games and grand finals, FootyBanners.com creates custom banners that capture the moment for young Wallan Magpies players. Give your junior star a run-through they will never forget.

Simple to Order

Choose from Single Player, Two Player, Team, or Grand Final banner options. Just provide the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Liam Thompson, #3, 50 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner is built to handle the crisp winter mornings in Wallan without any fuss.

Two Players, One Banner

When two young Magpies hit the same milestone, a Two Player Banner lets you celebrate them both with one great keepsake. Simply provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the shared milestone for a banner they will both treasure.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Feature 3 to 6 players on a Team Banner and turn game day into something truly special. A top-line message like "Go Magpies!" or the team's motto captures exactly what the season has been all about.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks. A Magpies keepsake banner looks great in the clubrooms, on the bedroom wall, or in the family games room as a lasting reminder of a great season.

Grand Final Banners

Celebrate the biggest game of the year with a 4.5m or 5.5m Grand Final Banner featuring custom top and bottom text for the Wallan Junior Magpies. Contact us and we'll help you nail the design for the perfect grand final entrance.

About Wallan Junior Football Club

Origins and Founding

Wallan Junior Football Club, known as the Magpies, provides junior Australian Rules Football for children and youth in the Wallan community north of Melbourne. The club is affiliated with the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL) and competes across multiple age groups from Under 9s through to Under 18s. The junior club operates separately from the senior Wallan Football Netball Club, which competes in the Riddell District Football League, but both clubs share the black and white Magpies identity that has represented Wallan football for well over a century.

Club History

Wallan's football heritage dates back to 1891, when the senior club played its first recorded game against the Kilmore Rose Football Club. The senior club has claimed nine premierships over that time, most recently in 2021. The junior club draws on that deep tradition, providing a feeder pathway that connects young Wallan players to the sport through structured competition in the NFNL. In 2023, Wallan JFC was seeking players for its Under 17 Boys and Under 18 Girls sides, reflecting the club's strong push to grow female football as well as the boys' program. The Under 11, 12, and 13 Boys teams have at times reached capacity due to strong community demand.

Home Ground

Wallan JFC plays out of Wallan Recreation Reserve in the Wallan township, sharing the ground with the senior Wallan Magpies. The reserve is the central sporting hub for the community and hosts football across multiple grades and age groups during the season. Wallan Recreation Reserve provides training facilities, change rooms, and a clubhouse environment that supports the junior club's programs through the winter football season.

Community and Programs

The Wallan Junior Football Club fields multiple age group teams for both boys and girls, competing in the Northern Football Netball League. The club is a key community institution in Wallan, which has experienced rapid population growth as part of the Melbourne outer-northern suburban expansion. Programs extend from the youngest players to youth competition, and the club has invested in growing its girls' and women's football pathways in recent years. With more than 1,400 Facebook followers and an active community presence, the Wallan Magpies juniors are well embedded in the local sporting landscape.

Wallan

Wallan is a town in Victoria, located approximately 45 kilometres north of Melbourne's CBD on the Hume Highway. Part of the Mitchell Shire, Wallan has grown rapidly in recent decades as Melbourne's outer-northern growth corridor expanded northward from Craigieburn and Beveridge. The town has strong connections to the broader Mitchell Shire region and is known as a gateway to the goldfields and farming communities of central Victoria. Key infrastructure including the Wallan railway station and the Hume Freeway give residents direct access to central Melbourne and regional Victoria.

The Magpies compete in the Northern Football Netball League and call Wallan Recreation Reserve home. Follow the club on Facebook, or on Instagram.

    📄 Material & Construction

    • Premium Coated Paper (1.6 m high) printed with permanent, waterproof inks—won’t run or fade, even in wet weather.

    • Eco-friendly & Recyclable: All banners are fully recyclable when the celebration is over.

    • Durable weatherproof sports banners printed on heavy-duty coated paper - these banners are not made of crepe paper.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
