Werribee Centrals Banners - Central to the Werribee Community

Milestone games and big finals moments deserve a banner made for the occasion, and FootyBanners.com delivers custom banners built for the Werribee Centrals. Celebrate your player with the pride the moment deserves.

Simple to Order

We offer Single Player, Two Player, Team, and Grand Final banner options. To personalise your order, provide the player's name, guernsey number, and milestone - for example, Jack Newton, #24, 100 Games. Printed with permanent inks on heavy-duty weatherproof paper, your banner is built tough for a cold Melbourne winter morning at the ground.

Two Players, One Banner

When two Centrals hit the same milestone, a Two Player Banner is the perfect way to honour them both. Provide both names, guernsey numbers, and the shared milestone for a quality keepsake banner they will both be proud to display.

Team Banners for Group Celebrations

Feature 3 to 6 players on a Team Banner and create a run-through moment the whole Werribee community will love. A top-line message like "Go Centrals!" or a special team dedication captures exactly what this club is all about.

Wall Keepsake Banners

Our Wall Keepsake Banners come in Small, Medium, and Large, printed on thick recyclable paper with waterproof inks that stand the test of time. A Werribee Centrals keepsake banner looks great in the clubrooms, the garage, or the family games room.

Grand Final Banners

Make grand final day at Werribee unforgettable with a 4.5m or 5.5m banner featuring fully customised top and bottom text for the Werribee Centrals Football Club. Contact us and our team will help you design something truly memorable.

About Werribee Centrals

Origins and Founding

The Werribee Centrals Sports Club was formed in 1969 following the disbanding of an earlier amalgamation with the Werribee Football Club. Established initially as a senior football-only club, the Centrals entered the Western Suburbs League (WSL) in 1970. The club's original nickname was the Tigers, playing in Black and Yellow. Within a few years, the Centrals had established themselves as one of the competition's standout clubs.

Club History

The Werribee Centrals claimed three consecutive first division premierships in the Western Suburbs League in 1981, 1982, and 1983, cementing their dominance in that competition. In 1984, the club moved to the Geelong District Football League (GDFL), where they compete under the VCFL banner. In their debut GDFL season, the Centrals won both the senior and reserves premierships in Division Two. The club also rebranded at this time, adopting Green and Gold colours and changing their nickname from the Tigers to the Centurions. GDFL premierships followed in 1987, 1989, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2004, giving the club a total of nine premierships across both competitions. Beyond football, the club also fields a netball program and has broad community sporting involvement.

Home Ground

The Centrals play and train at Galvin Park in Werribee. The ground serves as the club's permanent home base and hosts both football and netball activities. Galvin Park is a well-established suburban ground that has hosted the club's home games throughout their time in the GDFL.

Community and Programs

Werribee Centrals operates a junior football club, a netball program, and an Auskick program, reflecting its broad commitment to community participation. The club has grown alongside Werribee's rapid residential expansion as part of the City of Wyndham, and serves players from across the local area. The Centrals are one of the older established clubs in Werribee's diverse sporting landscape and play an important role in connecting long-time residents with the area's newer families through football and netball.

Werribee

Werribee is a suburb located approximately 32 kilometres south-west of Melbourne's CBD, within the City of Wyndham. It recorded a population of 50,027 at the 2021 census, making it one of the larger suburban centres in Melbourne's outer west. Werribee is home to the Werribee Zoo, the Werribee Open Range Zoo's Savannah, Werribee South beach, and the historic Werribee Mansion, and serves as the commercial and administrative hub of the Wyndham City municipality.

The Werribee Centrals Centurions compete in the GDFL and call Galvin Park home. For more information, visit the Werribee Centrals website, follow the club on Facebook, or find them on Instagram.

    🔧 Preparation & Run-Through Setup - Expert instructions for break-through milestone banners.

    • Rigging Your Banner

      • Tape broomsticks or PVC pipe to each edge to keep the banner taut.

      • This creates a professional “run-through” presentation for game-day moments.

    • Creating the Break-Through Slits

      • Vertical Slits: Cut small slits (20–30 cm long) in the centre—this engineered weak spot ensures a clean break when players burst through.

      • Wind-Proof Technique: On windy or rainy days, make multiple smaller slits so the banner doesn’t tear prematurely.

    💡 Tips & Tricks

    • Single Weak Spot: Some players cut only one slit to save and display the torn banner—repair later with clear tape on the reverse.

    • Logo Preservation: Position your slit to one side of the mascot or logo so your club’s emblem stays intact and can be retained afterwards for display.

  • Return and Refund Policy

As each banner is custom made, once ordered, we cannot return them.

Please check the details you submit for printing carefully, as we will make the banner using the exact spelling and information you provide.
