About Yarrambat Junior Football Club
Origins and Founding
The Yarrambat Junior Football Club is a community junior football club based in Yarrambat, 24 kilometres northeast of Melbourne in the Shire of Nillumbik. The club operates within the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL) junior competition and provides Auskick and junior football programs for boys and girls across the Yarrambat area and surrounding communities. The club's home ground is at Yarrambat War Memorial Park, located at 447-459 Ironbark Road, Yarrambat.

Club History
Yarrambat JFC, known as the Bats, has established itself as one of the prominent junior football clubs in the Nillumbik region. In 2018, the club was recognised as the NFNL Junior Club of the Year, an award that reflects both its on-field success and its commitment to community engagement and club standards. The club has continued to grow, with 2025 bringing three premiership wins across Under 13 Division 1, Under 14 Girls Division 1, and Under 18 Girls competitions - demonstrating strength across multiple age groups and both male and female programs.

Home Ground
The Bats play at Yarrambat War Memorial Park on Ironbark Road, Yarrambat. The ground is a well-maintained community oval that serves as the social and sporting heart of the local football community. As a War Memorial park, it also holds significance beyond sport as a place of remembrance for the broader Yarrambat community.

Community and Programs
Yarrambat JFC runs a comprehensive junior football program that includes Auskick for the youngest players and age-group teams from Under 8s through to Colts. The club places strong emphasis on inclusion, development, and community participation, welcoming boys and girls from Yarrambat and surrounding suburbs. Yarrambat
Yarrambat is a town in Victoria located 24 kilometres northeast of Melbourne's CBD in the Shire of Nillumbik local government area. It recorded a population of 1,602 at the 2021 census. The area sits just beyond the Melbourne metropolitan Urban Growth Boundary, giving it a semi-rural character surrounded by bushland and farming properties. Yarrambat was historically prominent as a gold mining area in the late 19th century, with the land later converted to orchards and farming once the mining boom subsided.
